jean6060 Posted August 30, 2009 #1 Share Posted August 30, 2009 I have looked through the existing treads on the WOW sale and have a question. We are starting to plan a RCI Europe cruise for October of 2010. It appears to me that the best pricing is using the WOW sale. From the threads, it does not look like public notice is given of these sales..that notice only goes to travel agents. Is this correct? Also, do all travel agents get notice of the sale? For cruises, we usually go direct to the cruise line, or shop around on-line for best price. I prefer not to get locked in with a travel agent at this time..so I am not sure how to proceed at this time. How do I know the right timing to get in touch with a TA. Many thanks for any assistance. What better pricing? There isn't anything different in pricing. During the one day wow sale, you receive an on board credit and you only have to put 1/2 deposit down to reserve. Your cruise could go up in price a lot more than the OBC you would receive would be by waiting.

There´s usually a huge advertising on top of this page when a WOW sale is comming. However I´m not sure where you are getting the impression there´s any special pricing:confused: The WOW sale is half deposit, but you have to pay the cruise in full anyway, so final payment will be higher and then you get OBC which you can´t combine with anything else. It´s also often reported that prices go up just before WOW sales.
alphakitty Posted August 30, 2009 #7 Share Posted August 30, 2009 Yep...agree with what's been said, except for the price increase before a WOW sale. That was not my experience. I booked Explorer OTS for a cruise in October during a WOW sale, and the price stayed the same before and after for a long time. However, we recently got a great price drop ($170 pp)and we have the OBC, so it was a win, win for us. :)
