kicker Posted March 12, 2010 #1 Share Posted March 12, 2010 Looking at a site for an upcoming cruise, it mentioned "Port Load". The ship is Enchantment OTS. The Port Load in Norfolk is 2446 (sounds like passenger capacity); PL for San Juan is 8374, Pl for St Thomas is 5873. It can't be the number of cruisers, so what is it? An ignorant, uninformed cruiser wants to know!
BonnieVA Posted March 12, 2010 #2 Share Posted March 12, 2010 I believe it's the total amount of cruise passengers expected at a port by adding the totals from each ship in port on any given day.
kicker Posted March 13, 2010 Author #3 Share Posted March 13, 2010 Exactly! Thank you! I was actually in church and it came to me as some kind of Divine Revelation (if God really bothers with revelations about trivial matters, and its not what I should've been thinking about anyways) - but after thinking about it I realized other ships were in port that day, and that's what it was (I was originally thinking it might have something to do with goods being picked up or dropped off, but you, I believe, are absolutely right!) Thanks again.
