brendapap Posted March 3, 2005 #1 Share Posted March 3, 2005 Has anyone done any excursions in Freeport. My husband & I are thinking of doing the one where you kayak to a beach then snorkel and they feed you lunch. Any input or please tell me what you did in Freeport on your cruise. tankersbabe Posted March 3, 2005 #2 Share Posted March 3, 2005 We hung out on the beach at Port Lucaya and shopped a little. No excursions really made us perk up our ears, and we wanted a lazy day. It was nice and I was ready to go back to the ship in about five hours. We did our snorkeling excursion in Nassau with Stuarts Cove. That was a load of fun! VaCruzers Posted March 3, 2005 #3 Share Posted March 3, 2005 We enjoyed our excursion which included kayaking & Gold Rock Beach at Lucaya Natl Park. We had been to Freeport on land based vacation before & did not really enjoy any of the beaches closer in to Freeport. The only way to get to Gold Rock Beach is by rental car or an excursion. Taxis will not take you that far - it's about 40 minutes from town.
