Amtrak suitcase size

We are taking Amtrak from Seattle to Vancouver on May 15 for our cruise. I recently read on CC that there are limitations on suitcase sizes. Looked them up on Amtrak and cannot believe it. You can only take luggage 28 x 22 x 14 for carryon and for checking! How are we going to do that for a 7 day cruise and 4 other days of traveling? This doesn't even seem reasonable. Does anyone have any suggestions??????

Re-read Amtrak's website information on baggage and think about what they are saying.

You can carry on 2 suitcases and check in 3 suitcases per person for a total of 5 suitcases per person.

Now really think about it.

If there are 2 of you when you say "we" than that means you all can take 10 suitcases of clothing between you all.

If 10 suitcases of clothing is not enough clothing for a 7 day cruise for 2 than I do believe you really do have a problem.
