Been To Chelsea Market? Worth Trip?

Recommended Posts

I guess that would depend on how limted your time is and if you've ever been to NYC before. I love the Chelsea Market, however, if it meant not going to the Museum of Modern Art or something as interesting, I'd skip the market.

The Chelsea Market is an old warehouse that's been beautifully restored, is unusual looking and has some terrific food shops - wholesale and retail - in it.

Through big glass windows you can watch bakers bake breads and cakes, there are some high quality food stores where you can buy some nice items to bring home.

You don't need to spend a lot of time there and it's close to the Meat Packing District which is another great area to wander around in.

Hope this helps.

Jane
