Formal evenings on Oceana

Please could someone explain how the formal evenings work .... I believe that there are two formal nights on our cruise on Oceana. When are these formal nights exactly (are they are the two sea days)? We would like to eat/book tables in the Beach House and also Cafe Jardin but we don't want to miss out on the Formal Evenings (Gala nights). Can anyone please throw any light on the matter?

The first formal night is the second night on board, and the second one is normally the night before you put your cases out. On the 2nd night and night 6. Sorry so long winded.

Hi, We have been on a few cruises with P and O and formal nights are generally on sea days.

We did Venice to Genoa in June and the formal nights were those 2 sea days as you thought. The second formal night was the captain's gala night so you might not want to do speciality dining on that night.
