jumelle Posted October 16, 2016 #1 Share Posted October 16, 2016 Has anyone done the snorkel trip to Cano Island offered by Windstar? Is it worth $165/person?
cherdon Posted October 28, 2016 #2 Share Posted October 28, 2016 I did a 2 tank dive to cano island a few years ago with Windstar. I don't remember it being that pricy. Nice clear waters, turtles, rays & reef sharks. Very unspoiled beach & island.
River2704 Posted November 9, 2016 #3 Share Posted November 9, 2016 We were on the Windstar this January. We organized our Cano Island and Golfo Dulce tours with a local company called Changing Tide Tours. They were fair priced and offered great service. The general feedback on both days was that our tours were better value and more personal than the trips organized direct with the ship. I would check them out.... I hope that helps! jumelle Posted November 10, 2016 Author #4 Share Posted November 10, 2016 Thanks for the feedback. Will check them out. Did you snorkel and if so was it great?
River2704 Posted November 13, 2016 #5 Share Posted November 13, 2016 Yes, we snorkeled at both sites and loved every minute! Me and my wife are both avid snorkelers and so wanted to make the most of the time under water in that part of the world. The water was very clear. I remember Isla del cano being busier than Golfo Dulce but we still enjoyed both and felt that we had enough space to ourselves.
