The Weather

cruising on jewel in less than a week. recently checked the weather web site and it shows RAIN RAIN RAIN for ft lauderdale, key west, and cozumel. has this ever happened to anyone? how quickly could the weather change? HELP!!

I wouldn't worry too much about the rain here, we're in the dry season right now. When it does rain, its usually for an hour then the sun comes out again. ;)

They can't predict weather that far in advance.

ya know, this is our 2nd cruise and i've been planning this for a year and obsessing over it (thus the name!!) so...when i checked the weather over the next week and saw lots of RAIN ....i panicked. thanks for the reality check.

If you don't like the weather, just wait 30 minutes and you'll get something different.

If there is one you cannot predict it is the weather. I even take my umbrella on every cruise I have taken. Whether in Alaska, Mex. Rivera and Caribbean. Just go prepared.

Also some places you go have Rain Forests. They are called that for a reason. As above, most showers are warm and short. When in Jamacia once, it rained ten mins. It was a very warm rain and helped to cool things for about 20 mins. It was very nice.

It is not uncommon for it to rain daily in the Caribbean, usually in the mid-late afternoon. These showers/thunderstorms are generally short-lived and easy to plan around. Yes, you're on vacation and don't want it to be rainy, but you're not at work, school or home, so just relax and have a great time!
