Just Back, Enchantment Drink Report

Recommended Posts

Just Back from the Enchantment of the seas 4-Day (April 27 - May 01, 2015)

This Is My Drink Price Report,.......

I'm Not a Big Drinker so no All-Inclusive Packages for Me,.....

I Did find some Drink Specials I'd Like to Share with Everybody Here,....

Each Day, The Drink of the Day Still Exists!

$7.95 each, available at any bar, (You Keep the Glass.)

These Were Things Like Mai-Tai, Rum Cooler, Etc.

(I don't think the option of Buying Without the Suvaneer

Glass is an Option Any longer.)

The Casino Bar Had "Buy One - Get One" Martini's

on Formal night, 4pm-till Close.

(There was a digital sign in the Casino, Stating this is

is in ALL Royal Caribbean Casino's Every "Formal" night?)

On our Day At Sea, From 4pm-5pm, There was a 1 hour Happy Hour

Where all drinks for Half Price at Both "Bolaro's" and "The Schooner Bar".

(If you're Cruise offer's This, GO TO BOLARO'S!!!!, -

Because the very same drinks are regular priced here at $10, are all $12,

At The Schooner.)

Crown & Anchor Members Gold and Above, still get an offer on their sign and sail card

for a one time "Buy one, Get One" Beer or Wine.

(I used mine for a "Blue Moon" for, $5.50, and a "Free" Redd's Apple Ale,....Also $5.50.)

so it can be used on two different brands at the same time, as long as both priced the same.

Welcome Back Party,....(Gold & above),.....Still Had Free Drinks, Choices We're

(Champagne, 3 different Flavors, Strawberry Daqoriis, Screw Drivers, or Lime Margaritas)

All given Out quite Generously, only asked, for 1 Margarita, - but Was Given 1 Margarita, and 2 Daqoriis

by server!),....Free Drinks are only handed out for 30 minutes, but seemed to be giving everyone there 3-4 each!)

(The daqorii's, are the syrupy, sugary, Island Oasis, Crap, but with just ok cheep Vodka.)

The Champagne, was the same stuff they have at the Captain's Reception, But in Regular, Cranberry, or Plumb?)

However, The Lime Margarita was Great Tasting,......

Captain's Reception still Has Free Champagne,.....but again for only first 30 minutes,....

Get there early if you want it, People Grab it off the trays as fast as it the tray's come out!

Go To the Cake building Contest in the Centrum,......After it is over, Cruise Director Mark pours a ton of

Irish Whiskey into Each cake, the invites the Audience to come down and eat them,.....If you cut you're

slice from the center of the cake, It's as strong as several straight shots!

On the First Night, Shops on board, still have the free liquor tasting, so you can have a free shot or two here,...

as well.

Occasionally, here and there at various bars, there would be an offer for other specials as well,....

aka. at Late Night Dance Party in Viking Crown Buy One-Get One Cosmos,......

Or Pool Bar Morning Marmosas, and Bloody Marys, 20% off etc.

We also had the two bottles of wine we we're allowed to bring on-board,

and served without a corkage fee in the main dining room as well as 1 free Bottle of

Wine delivered to our Stateroom, as a personal Gift from the Cruise Director,

Marc Walker,....Great Guy!

-----------------

So, Point Being, If you read the Cruise Compass carefully,....

(Including, the little half page insert, it has tucked inside with Daily Offers)

Non-Package buyers can still find some reasonable drinks here and there.

By The way, They never really Pushed the Drinks packages verbally at all on anybody,...

but there was printed signs offering it on ever bar and table-top you sat at.

All the bars Had the same drinks menu with the $10 Mixed Drinks,....

$5.50 Import 12oz Beers, and $6.00 Domestic 16oz.

Except,....The "R-Bar" and The Schooner Bar where the Mixed Drinks where $12-$14 bucks each,

but made with slightly better Ingredients and liquors.

Lastly, TO ADD INSULT TO INJURY,.....

After all the resent price hikes, as well as the higher drink prices at the schooner bar,....

RCI had the Balls to,....actually print on each page of the schooner bar printed menu the new prices alongside

photos of the original menu with prices from 20 years ago,.....just rubbing it in how much it's gone up!

Aka: on the page where a bud light is now: $6.00 , it has a photo of back when it cost $1.35!!!! The Raw Nerve!

:) thank you SO much friend, your cheap drinks report gives me the budgeting casual cocktailer hope!

Also WOW, whisky cake, I hope they do a similar demo on my cruise that sounds like my barrel of Jamy joy.

Boleros mojitos are my faves, so I will be sure to hit the 1/2 price 'happy hour' when I'm on liberty next THIS month! (I can't believe I'm so close!)

Yeeeaaaah I really wanna try a Lav daqueri, so I guess I better get my $13.80 ready.

I wonder how many smart alecs have tried to order off the 'classic pricing' menu

WOW! We actually have two of those old Viking Crown glasses! Got them on either the Song of Norway in 1984 or the Nordic Prince in 1986. Had to walk outdoor stairs to get to the VC!

Hmmm - Wonder what they would go for on E-bay??? :D:cool:

I was so glad I had the drink package as I tried the Lav Daqueri. It was horrible, like nothing I ever had before. Maybe the bartender made something else. But it was bad couldn't even drink it. But it did look pretty. lol

Oh no, that's disappointing!

One of my fav ice cream shops that still uses old-fashioned flavoring syrups has made me an aweome Lav/Vanilla soda, and I make Lav Lemonade at home for myself all the time, so I was stoked about this!

Maybe I'll just ask for an extra hit of the syrup in a lemonade and see how it stacks up first.

We were on Explorer OTS in February and on Valentines day that had Cupid's Shot for $3 each at every bar. Very tasty. Somehow there were 18 of them on my card by the end of the evening. I second Bolaro's...on the Independence OTS for the TA last November, Bolaro's had margaritas 2-for-one at happy hour several times. Let's hear it for drink specials.
