Viking Basel to Amsterdam with Lake Como pre tour

We have just booked the Rhine River Cruise with Viking from Basel to Amsterdam next July (2018). We also opted for the Lake Como pre cruise. I am interested in knowing which ports are there value to upgrade the excursions and also how was the Lake Como addition.
