Carnival Elite Offer

Did anyone else get the Elite offer for the Conquest on April 30th? I got an email from Carnival today offering this Elite cruise. Unfortunately, I had to turn it down as I will be on another cruise that week. Offer was received today and states you must respond by tomorrow and the cruise is less than two weeks away. Pretty short notice, and there was only the one cruise offered. Last year the offer included two different cruises.

Yes I got the email offer. I just got back from a cruise on Saturday, so don't think I can take advantage of it. Still have a few hours to decide. lol

Is Elite better then Ultra? How many points you supposed to have to be qualify for Elite? How many times per year then have it?

It is my understanding that Elite is better than Ultra, but I haven't been able to take advantage of a Ultra offer yet. Not sure if they offer Elite once or twice a year. I also have no idea how many points. I'm no high roller, and I get Elite offers once a year. But this time it was really a last minute offer.

Just my own experience...

I received the Elite email invitation on March 1st, but not going because the date conflicts with a family birthday party.

Cruised Carnival for the first time in August 2015 redeeming a land based casino's offer for a free suite.

Here's what the email says:

COMPLIMENTARY SUITE FOR TWO

8 day Southern Caribbean Cruise • Carnival Conquest® • Departs from Fort Lauderdale, FL • 4/30/2016

PLUS YOU’LL RECEIVE:

Express VIP check-in

Platinum VIFP Club® Status on board

Complimentary parking at the port OR Private Car Service to and from Ft. Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport

Sundowner cocktail function as we set sail from one of the ports

One shore excursion with your excecutive team

Complimentary drinks

If I had to guess...maybe a minimum of 10,000 points on a 7 day cruise to qualify for an Elite invitation...

What has been your favorite ship and itinerary of an Elite cruise you've taken?

Maybe we can get an idea if people here that received the Elite email invite share some info...then we can narrow it down a bit to a point range...

We sailed Carnival for the first time in August 2015 and received our first Elite invitation emailed on March 1st, 2016.

On our 7 day cruise we earned over 20,000 points playing video poker machines, then broke even or slightly ahead playing some blackjack on the last day the casino was open.

I honestly think the points requirement could be more like 10,000 on a 7 day.

I don't think 10,000 points is what you need. I have done 23 carnival cruises and have only hit that many points one time and it was on a 12 day cruise.

I don't have a favorite ship, but my least favorite is the Sunshine. all elite and premier cruises are fun.

Thanks, good to know.

Does an Elite cruise have a casino cash amount to pick up at the cage?

Email invitation doesn't mention it.

I hit close to 12k points on a cruise last year and have never gotten an ultra or elite offer. I keep getting those premier offers that are terribly expensive. I have not been back since.

We have been on three elite cruises. My boyfriend gets the invites and I tag along. He plays ALOT on the tables. We just got back from the conquest and it was great again. Some of the slot players on the elite had 40,000-50,000 points. Elite cruises are very limited to only 40-50 invites plus their guests. Much smaller crowd than the premise or ultra cruises. It is something to experience so I would suggest taking one if the opportunity comes up again.

The way I underdstand it, is that you have had to have done some Premier cruises during the year to get the Elite and Ultra offers. Last year I did eight cruises with Carnival, averaging about 10,000 points per cruise playing slots. My Elite offer last year was for an Ocean Suite plus $1000 cash, free drinks, free parking and an excursion. This year I received the Elite offer at the last minute and already had another cruise booked and this offer stated it was for a balcony cabin. They usually have the Elite offer twice a year. The last two Ultra offers I received (Dec 2014 and Dec 2015) included free interior cabins and $200 cash. Each invited guest on the Ultra gets a nice gift. The gifts included gift cards $300 or $400, ipads, iphones, laptops, large screen TV, etc. Hope this helps.

Ultra cruises are based on if you take a premier cruise. Elite casino cruises are strictly based on play. The whales of carnival. ( big players) I have been on three only because of my boyfriend's amount of play. We received our first elite invitation before going on a premier. I am not bragging because he has paid for the fuel at times. Haha not

Thanks for reporting back after the 4/30 Elite on Conquest. Glad it was a good time again.

What was your complimentary shore excursion?

Everyone went to an all inclusive resort in LaRomia. It was awesome. Beach, two very large pools with a swim up bar, and a huge lunch. It is one of carnival's excursions and I highly recommend it.

Nice! We have never been on a Caribbean cruise...

But I received the Ultra offers email invitation this morning with a choice of 4 Caribbean itineraries.

Might wait for another Elite invitation instead because the Ultra invitation is only a free interior & cash.

Doing our first Premier sailing October 1st on Vista because it was for a free balcony & cash.

i have an oct 30 entry for dream that im not using, doing the oct 29 premier on conquest instead...

I believe it is to late for the dream. You have to confirm your seat by a certain date.

Anyone who tries to get a seat for the wheel of fortune slot tournament, make sure you have a room first. That cruise won't come up now so I think it is sold out.
