We were looking at this trip with some friends last week and they said beware of the weather on that coast of Malaysia and Thailand at that time of year.

They said that the west and east coasts alternate between rainy and dry depending on the time of year.

Does anyone have any info or experience to help us, please?

Seems the west is OK at Christmas and the east is pretty wet.

Yes, I was alwyays told Phuket for Christmas and Koh Samui for May/June.
