Tangier Tours

We will be on a Crystal Symphony cruise in October. Ho tours are scheduled through the cruise line for Tangier. Any suggestions?

Almost certainly you'll be berthed in or tendered to the port in the centre of Tangier. The port gate is right by the main souk, and you can wander its lanes without a tour.

But be aware that Tangier, the souk in particular, is one of the worst places for being hounded - folk who cannot seem to understand the word "NO". If you get pi**ed-off with folk pestering you, there's a western-style hotel (I think it's called "Balcon de Tangier") with a pedestrian entrance from the souk - you can dive in there for a quiet un-hassled drink on the terrace.

To avoid, or at least minimise, being hassled you really do need a pre-booked tour.
