While in San Juan recently, we were asked to take part in a survey. Apart from age and gender, the only question was "Do you think cruise ships have a (negative) impact on the environment?"

We both answered No. We were then asked to sign our names to a long sheet, to verify that we had taken part in the survey.

Much later it occurred to me that the sheet could have been a petition to ban cruise ships from San Juan, which we had unwittingly signed.

 

Has anyone else had this experience? Are my concerns justified? Any thoughts?

Did you check your pockets after they left. its a great way to distract you whilst there accomplices are stealing your wallet or money.

We got another call last week. Same lady, same rugs, same spiel. When I told her she had already called us, she apologized and hung up quickly.

 

I think I will convey my annoyance to Seabourn.

My suggestion would be to have a whistle next to the phone and when starts her spiel blow it into the phone. Alternatively, if you are a kinder gentler person than I am, you can do a Jerry Seinfeld and ask for her phone number and then tell her you will ring her back at a time that's inconvenient to her.

Then post her phone number on this forum and Facebook and Twitter so that we can all give her a call or SMS text.

I would be more worried about the government in Australia than any sharks or deadly snakes or spiders.

By the way watch out for the poisonous cane toads in Queensland, they are as big as footballs and twice as ugly as footballers.
