  1. Anyone recently stayed in one of the bumpout cabins on deck 7 towards the aft of NA? Would appreciate any pros/cons on these cabins. Any special tips, etc.

    Thanks.

Did you end up in a SY on eurodam? 7077? Curious how room is. Would love pics. I have booked 7077 & 7078

  2. That is certainly a good suggestion . Also the storage under the sink is not as well organized as the Celebrity S Class . I saw old photos , pre dry dock I believe , that slowed glass or plexiglass shower and tub enclosures . They are now , sigh , curtains . Well spotted as always Mic ! Thanks . :) :D

How does your room compare to the SY do you know? I'm having a heck of a time finding photos

  3. We were in SY 7077 on NA for 23 nights and spent quite a bit of time on our balcony. The only time we were aware of the people in 7079 was when they were leaning over their balcony, such as when there was something of particular interest and we were all out on our balconies looking/watching. It seemed a reasonably private balcony & we'd certainly have been happy to be there, but we loved 7077.

Do you have pics of 7077. Or video?

  4. I was replying to a new post asking what we thought about the room. Not from posts a year ago. I rarely reply to anything but had first hand experience. Even if it had been from a year ago it probably wouldn't have stopped the world.

My trip was on the conquest Nov 2013.

In reference to the "sometimes these cabins costs more then the balcony " we got ours for 501 which was less than the balcony for that sailing.

  5. We are cruising to western Caribbean in late January, 2014 with 2 of our sons and their wives. We are so looking forward to cruising with them. We love to cruise.

I am also trying to lose weight for the cruise and have found that when I weigh myself every morning before I get dressed and tape that weight to one of my kitchen cupboards and to my refrigerator door it works well for me. With my present weight taped up like that it reminds me not to eat anymore than I need.

That is an excellent idea. Too bad I cant paste it on the treat cabinet at work. Maybe I can put a sticker or something else to remind me.

  6. Hi everyone - anyone still following this post?

I'm still here and still loosing, well at least not gaining! I've been down the same 60 pounds since May - I still have 2 -1/2 months before my cruise (DEC 8), and doing good as far as staying on track - we've enjoyed company almost every weekend since June 30th and I only gained 3 pounds all summer! Quite proud of that! Now back on track and gun ho on the exercise etc.

Let me know how you are all doing???

    Hello Kim and all,

I will be cruising December 1st out of miami. I have primarily used myfitness pal to log calories and exercise since I booked in November last year. With the idea of a swimsuit in the caribbean being a major motivator. Today I hopped on the scale....Onderland at 199.6 thats about 36lb down for me. And a huge accomplishment. Its probably been 23 years or so since i was under 200. Slow and steady.

  7. I use it and love it. I have a 2-3 pounds of fat left to lose, but I've been gaining muscle and at this point I don't really have a weight goal but rather a body fat percentage goal--unfortunately MFP doesn't allow you to track that metric. My goal is 20-22% body fat--at this point it's more about building muscle than losing fat for me to attain that level of fitness.

What I really like about it is that I can enter my exercise and figure out how many extra calories I can eat. It also helps with portion control and can be pretty enlightening as far as just how many calories are in certain foods.

Under progress you can add your own things to measure. It wont calculate body fat percentage but you could make a field where you enter it.

  8. The whole idea behind carrying a copy of your passport into port is so if your stuff gets stolen, your passport does not. And if you get stranded and have a copy, the American Embassy can speed up a replacement.

On Mediterranean cruises they collect your passports when you check in. You do not get them back until the day before your cruise ends. Unfortunately though, ours did not come back stamped.

Stamping is not that important for DH and me, but for our DD's, it is.

So do you find where to get it stamped for DD's in each port? I am going to Belize, Cozumel, Cayman, Honduras.

Has anyone stayed in one of the inside rooms with obstructed view before? If so what did you think? I have read good and bad reviews.
