In your opinion would we be ok booking the odyssey 1/6 or symphony 1/13 cruise to avoid groups? Thanks!
You should be fine to sail on those dates.

We are booked on the Wonder 1/21/24 and it’s Yeshiva week. They have the Solarium for Kosher dining, not cheap

Following as well.

Thank you so much for suggesting Salty’s. She loves seafood and I long for a lobster roll.
Will definitely take a look at the menu.- 1

Hello,
We are taking a quick 4 day from NJ to NS and back. We are in Halifax all day on a Thursday in August. This is my first time to NS, what do you recommend to not miss. I expect I will go back again one day, but for now this is it. Any insight would be great!
TIA!!
Christy
I will be there in August as well. Have been to NS many times and have seen it truly grow. I’ll be taking my niece to the Maritime Museum. Will grab some lunch and do a little shopping.

We went late July 2019 on the 10:00 a.m. tour and it was beautiful weather.

I booked directly with Acadia for $38 pp. these buses do not have air conditioning but I will bring a small portable one for one for mom, just in case it's too hot. Our tour is 2 hours or so with 3 stops. Picking up tickets at Testa's. Looking forward to a great adventure.

We also used Paul McNeil in Halifax, and I second the recommendation. He was fantastic!

In Bar Harbor we used At Your Service Taxi and Tours and had an absolutely wonderful day.
Here are links to my blog if you want more information about the tours:

I so throughly enjoyed your pictures and comments. Currently booked with one of Paul’s drivers for July.

Have you or will you consider at all booking a private tour ?..... Our group of six from our roll call had the most amazing tour with Paul McNeal of Halifax Historical Titanic Tours....one of the best private tours offered in Halifax and for good reason. He books up far ahead and fast...again AMAZING !!
Ashland, thanks for the info. I was in touch with Paul and have arrangements to join Emerson in July for that tour. Paul was fully committed but has a group of highly competent drivers to assist. Looking forward to seeing Halifax again.

We used ..."Halifax Titanic Historical Tours" with Paul McNeil (we've done many private tours but this one in particular with Paul was one of the best)...he books up very fast !!!!!
In Bar Harbor we booked with Acadia National Park directly through their website...another amazing tour and will book this again for our October port stop.
Enjoy.....New England/Canada is a wonderful itinerary.
Thanks for this info as well. Planning to be back in July. It’s been a while.

An Uber or cab.

Personally, I believe the ongoing points system should be rated on $ spent for cabin, any dollars spent onboard (Speciality Dining, Casino, Spa, Ships Tours, Park West) and $ spent on Royal Excursions. Set a yearly minimum and if not reached, drop peoples points and Status back each year.

This is the dumbest remark I've ever hear. Really? You must be a large stockholder. I'm done reading trash like this.

Thank you so much for the updates on the fire. My poor Island can't get a break. I have no doubt the Adventure will sail.

Welcome to Cruise Critic! The "better" experience imho would be to NOT book through the cruise line at all. Use a private operator. We were in Cabo this past February and had a FABULOUS morning whale watching with Whale Watch Cabo, in a small panga boat (10 adults max); comfortable and room to maneuver. Beats a zodiac because it has a canopy, very welcome in the sun. WWC is a first class operation; I highly recommend them.
Among other whales, we encountered a mama humpback running with her three-week old calf, and teaching baby how to breach. It was awesome to watch.
Baby could only get out of the water so far:
Thank you so much for the great pics!!

Unless you have a group of 14 or more you cannot the discounted posted rate. Most disconcerting.

Thanks for all the positives and sharing your views on dynamic eating. My DH is not thrilled there is no main dining room but we'll see how it goes. Much appreciate directions to the Library.
Glad you made it back safely.

At the Catacombs - not to be missed silent dance hour. You get to wear headphones and have the choice of listening to two diff. DJ's. awesome to watch folk dancing to different music. 18 and over.
Ice show was super. I enjoyed the free sauna and steam room. Late night swimming and movie watching was fun.
The RCCL Liberty of the Seas is a fantastic vessel

well that was kinda difficult , but will work
for me the obstruction is acceptable for sure ,for the big balcony and convenient location
hope this helps someone else decide if cabin 6660 is for them
dave
Thanks so much for the pics. We are currently booked in this cabin for next Sept. Hardest pictures to find. Thanks kaseyoz for sharing.

Might you be so kind as to describe the obstruction on the balcony. Was there a large lifeboat? Was it a decent view.
Sorry about that rattling noise, I experienced it on the Celebrity Reflection. Just awful. Many thanks.

Late last year they began a private shuttle service for $16 round trip from the Dockyard that goes right down to the beach. Those are not part of the public bus system that has a stop at the top of the hill. The private shuttles drop off and pick up at the beach entrance.
Where might we find these shuttles? I would like to take the ferry to St. George. Can I get still the tickets at the dock?
Thanks for the help.

Awesome info. Love these boards. The son and family will need to make a stop there.

We will be there in June during National Heroes weekend. I am hopeful they will keep the bonfire on schedule. We have taken the no. 7 to Horseshoe Bay, lovely scenic ride.

I was able to purchase early, just after my reservation on the Wonder was available.
I’ve not seen it made available for months.
