Just booked a western carribean cruise on the Freedom, this thread has got me super excited.

Pumpkin soup just sounds amazing, almost like butternut squash soup. I am sorry it was too salty. Sometimes one bad dish can stir you away from trying it again. I love trying new foods. It is my favorite part of a cruise.

Enjoy your time. Most bikers I have met in my lifetime are some of the most respectful and nicest people. Besides the belly flop contest was on the cruise I took 3 weeks ago and their were no bikers. RCI might do it as a fun thing to do. It was funny to watch.
I also like people watching and love seeing different aspects of life. I really think you will have a great time.

I enjoyed this post. I leave in less than a week and we ordered the prem. package.

Everything else, no problem at all. (including Haggis, black pudding, snails, horse, snake, kangaroo, croc, sweetbreads, liver, kidney, heart)
You sound like my husband, he is from scotland. We actually have to order haggis online for him. and he loves going to the Robert Burns dinner.

OK then pack
1. toiletries
2. underwear
3. socks
4. 2 pair shorts
5. 1 pair khakis or nice pants
6. sandals / beach shoes
7. sneakers or shoes (wear one or the other to board)
8. 4 polo shirts
9. 3 t-shirts
10. swimtrunks
11. 1 button down shirt
12. something to sleep in
13. sunscreen
14. some type of Tide with bleech pen just in case there is a stain on your good pants.
If you are planning on doing formal night wear / pack a blue blazer or sports coat but for such a short cruise I wouldn't bother about a tux or anything like that
Haha, I should slow down when scrolling down. I looked real quick and first thing I saw was 10. swimtrunks. I was like geesh why so many. Till I slowed down and relized you had them numbered.

How can people afford expensive cruises?
in Ask a Cruise Question
Posted
I know we could not afford the luxery cruise. But we do save each year for the one cruise a year around our anniversary.
We have modest cars with no payment
Don't go out to eat often
Don't go out to movies or bars
If it is a leftover in the fridge we eat it. No wasting money on the food
We just save and save but the one cruise a year is something to always look forward too. Maybe they do the same thing with a bigger income than us.
