I keep in touch with Seka. She is there till January.
I’ve just read ‚on the other side‘ that Omar (yes, Omar from the EPIC) will be the concierge on the Dawn until January 2020. Just to let you know...

Neither one of them (Cruise Norwegian or Iconcierge) have the Epic listed as a ship....
No, that‘s incorrect! I‘ve looked it up some hours ago (our cruise will leave pretty soon) The EPIC is listed for the IConcierge App.

Add on P.S. a quick check suggests to me that he is very good! Yay!
Lynn
Yes Lynn, Omar got a lot of positive recommendations here on Cruise Critic so I‘m looking forward to meet him in person in 19 days. He‘s also ‚on the other side‘ aka FB (we aren‘t allowed to say this name here) LOL, look for Omar Concierge.

I would also like to know. We sail very early in the year and knowing the identity of the Concierge in the Haven would be extremely helpful! Thanks 😊
The Concierge will be Omar for sure. He‘s currently on vacation but he will return on 14th of November. So I‘m almost 100% sure that he‘ll be on board in January.

Yes, just seen two CdS shows while on board the MSC Meraviglia: in one word: excellent! I‘ve read somewhere that MSC will also put it on the Seaview and Seaside... https://www.cirquedusoleil.com/other-activities/cirque-du-soleil-at-sea…I had no idea CdS was actually going to start doing shows on ships - do you have any info on the MSC ships? -
...balcony seats for the Cirque du Soleil show...
Please be aware that this is NOT a Cirque du Soleil show. It‘s called Cirque Dreams on the EPIC and has nothing to do with the Canadian company. The only „official“ CdS-shows are on the newer MSC ships, just to align the expectation settings [emoji6]

Thank you! what type of things do people request?…
Just found some interesting questions here:

...I hope we get one as good on the Epic in Jan!
It could be Omar, he‘s currently on the EPIC and he just jumped on this ship in June. Maybe he will stay there until January.

Sorry, on so many forums I thought this was the one for the Bliss. So, the Bliss is the ship regarding my inquiry.
I‘ve read somewhere here at this forum that he will be replaced with Adrian Bica on the Bliss who will return from his vacation.
Hope that helps...

PS: Does anybody knows where David is going after his holidays?

Lasagne Portofino; 8/10. Very, very good....
Hey Tina, totally agree with your opinion, just coming back from the 11 day Iceland Cruise, the Lasagne was one of the best,..
Other dishes in the MDR were okay, but nothing exceptional, but the speciality restaurants has been brilliant: Eataly outstanding, Butcher‘s Cut very, very good and Cirque du Soleil Dinner was good. So I can really tell everybody to book the three dinner package, worth it‘s money...

So, today, DAY 12, in real time is my birthday.
Hey Tina, all the best! Enjoy the day while in Geiranger. Did MSC used the Skywalk? For tomorrow: Did you book the train ride? It‘s really enjoyable. Also a good advice (maybe for the next time you‘ll visit Flam): take a one-way ticket with the train up the hill, then rent a bike and ride downhill to the port of Flam. It‘s an easy way down and a lot to see...
Cheers and have a safe trip back to Hamburg.
Cheers Oliver
PS: why did you push all the Arctic air towards to Germany, it‘s a temperature drop today of 10 degrees Celsius! So it‘ll be a cold welcome for you next Sunday...
-
Sounds good. It seems that MSC is here a little bit in front of their competitors [emoji6] (including the menu in the App)
Overall what I‘ve seen from your postings so far it seems that it‘s all a little bit fish-dominant which surprises me not at all, but alternatives (veggie and meat) are also on each daily menu.
So I have to do a lot of persuading to convince my wife but it seems to be worth it‘s time...
-
Hey Tina, just a quick question: is the daily menu from the four restaurants available in prior of the lunch/dinner seatings somewhere (Maybe also in the MSC for Me App)? Or is there somewhere a place where you could look it up in the afternoon?
Thanks again Oliver
-
Any observations or highlights of the ports you are visiting? Something about the ship other than food? Thx
Tina, I‘m following your thread since you‘ve started it and I‘m enjoying it very much. That‘s exactly what I need to know for our ongoing trip next Sunday out of Hamburg to Iceland on the Meraviglia. I‘ve learned a lot about the ship and the restaurants which makes my decisions a little bit easier, what, when and where to do something while on this vessel. So please keep on posting your details also the Daily Programs, it really helps!
Thanks again
Have a wonderful second half of your trip
Cheers Oliver

Thank you sooooooo much Hey Tina!
It helps us (and other travelers on this tour) very much. Now we can switch our reservations (as soon they aren‘t fixed).
We‘ve already saw the tendency but now we have clarity.
Again, much appreciated!
Cheers Oliver

Ah okay, that helps a lot. Thanks again and have a wonderful cruise.

Hey Tina,
Just some quick questions (we are about to board in 11 days when you‘re suppose to leave):
First: your departure time was originally set to 8pm, but it changed (as we can see on the dailies) to 9pm, your departure was 9:20 any reasons for that delay? When does the muster drill took place? Same afternoon or the morning after?
Second: is there any special place on the ship you would recommend for the sail away? Deck 18 above the Horizon Pool at the Horizon Bar? Or is/was it really crowded?
Third: Can you please check/ask if there is any change in the itinerary for the Iceland trip starting 24th of June out of Hamburg. We‘ve heard some rumors that they must have switched Akureyri and Reykjavik. MSC did not officially comment so far but the websites of these two ports talks a different language, so it would be really great if you find someone on board who could confirm these changes.
Thanks a LOT in advance, your post has been a BIG help for us so far...
Cheers Callimero

It’s a fantastic hotel location
Hallo Cheryl,
Thanks a lot. We‘re doing pretty fine here in Germany beside the awful weather this winter. No snow, temp. around the low 40ies, grey, rain...
Like the weather expected to have in Norway, Not like we had last summer. As every crew member told us: the best weather they‘ve sailed ever in this region...
Cheers Oliver

Happy to answer any other question
Hello Cheryl, I hope you‘re doing fine?
A good friend of mine John (aka Tiembiay) is doing almost the same trip like we did last August to Norway. I think I have in mind that you‘ve stayed at the Clipper Elb-Lodge in Hamburg previously to our cruise and you‘ve been quite happy with your choice. For which rate did you get this hotel and which website did you use to book it? If you could provide John & Jane with this information it would be great!
Thanks a lot
Oliver
