I would take a Family Veranda without question. We have been in 7199 three times and it is great. The balcony is absolutely beautiful:):):). We were always able to get one when they opened with fewer than four or five people as it was just the two of us. Enjoy:):):).

Heading out on Equinox next Saturday!
- What time did they start boarding?
- What time were the staterooms open?
- With 3:30 departure, what time is muster?
We were on the ship by 11:00 A.M.
Staterooms were open shortly after 1:00P.M.
Muster drill was at 2:45P.M.
Just got off Equinox yesterday morning

We just used Luggage Valet yesterday. We were on the Equinox and we were out of the port of Miami and flew out of FLL. Our flight was 4:55P.M. and our plane was delayed until 6:35P.M.. When we arrived back home all of our bags were at the airport. It cost us 25:00 per person and our bags flew free as we were on Southwest. Each person can have up to 2 free bags and we had a total of 3. We would highly recommend this to anyone having any thoughts of doing this. Also going out of FLL because we did not have to check our bags we could go right out to the tarmac. Very nice to be able to do this:):):).

Arno,
Do you know who the Master Captain of the Equinox is as we are on it 10 days before you board? Thanks!!!

Buyer Beware!!!! Does not sound good at all as was stated that there should be no worries!!!

journeycollector thank you so much for the wonderful review of your cruise. We will be boarding on the 17th and she will be our home for 17 days:). We can not wait as it is snowing right now as we are from Wi. as well. This will be our 3rd time on the Equinox and we just Love this ship. Thanks again for such a great review so well done!!!!!!!!!

We are sailing on the 27 July Millennium from Seward to Vancouver. Noticed that when I log onto my vacation planner, a banner pops up saying that select excursions are on sale for another 28 hours (midnight Monday 18 December is my guess. EST? CST? Not sure).
I wanted to pass this along to my cruisecritic family. Well, while you are here reading this thread, please tell me your favorite Alaska excursions, and why. Thanks!
We went to Alaska this past summer and we really enjoyed the Whale watching in Icy Straits:). We did not book thru the ship as we went with a private party and there were only 6 people on our vessel and we were out there 3 full hours. The other excursion we really enjoyed was in Juneau and we went to the Glacier by Helicopter and that was absolutely breathtaking:):). Hope that helps with your ideas and enjoy:):).

77 degrees when the ship was leaving and two Holland ships were right behind her:):). I sure would have been on the balcony:):).

Sitting here in chilly Chicago eagerly awaiting our Silhouette cruise and watching sail away on webcam. I have never seen so few people outside! There were quite literally 3-4 balconies occupied with people, only a handful on the upper decks and Sunset Bar was deserted. Their final payment would have been due just a few days after Hurricane Irma passed. Apparently committing to an Eastern trip wasn’t very popular at that time! It was a bit of an odd sight to see.

We watched as well and you are correct!!! We could not believe that either. We sail in a month and we cannot wait to leave Wisconsin for the warmth and sun:):). 17 days on the ship is going to be real nice:):):). Hope you have a GREAT cruise!!!!!

We have the Classic beverage package that we got as one of the perks and now that there is a sale, if we were to upgrade to Premium, would we get some sort of break in price? I imagine I will have to call to make this change.
You can do it onboard as we had that on our last cruise. We upgraded once we were onboard and I believe it was an extra 10.00 dollars a day for the premium. We sail in a month and we will do it again:):). Have a Great Cruise:):).

Does Celebrity dock in the Old San Juan area, so you can walk around the stores?
Yes it does. We will be there in a month:):):)

Thank you so much for the information!!! We will be using this in January:):)

Does anyone know who is going to be on the Equinox in January? We are on Back to Back sailings in January. Thanks much for any information.
-
Just got off the phone with X and we have been told that Southwest is available as we are on back to backs out of P.O.M. in January. Flights cannot be after 6:00 P.M. You have to depart before then as we are going to do. We fly out of FLL as we can get a Nonstop flight as in Miami we would have a layover which is not to our liking. This is what we were told so we are hoping this is true.

Do they ever televise regular season NFL games? I’m taking my first Equinox cruise on Dec. 9 and the Patriots play the Monday night game...a girl can hope, right?
They have N.F.L. on T.V. and that it is a Monday night game I am sure that it will be on!!!!!

It should be on the T.V.

On Reflection Nov 23 and staying in St Martin over night. Last time we were there took a boat to St Barts and spent a wonderful afternoon at Niki Beach (restaurant in a cove...great wine and best Cobb salad ever). Want to do this again but cant find out how to book it. Knew it must have been through Celebrity because there was a person on the dock with a sign when we got off the ship. Can anyone help on how we can book this again?
Does not look like you are going to St. Martin. Looks like you are going to St. Johns instead with the itinerary change due to the Hurricanes. That is from the X Web site. Have a great cruise.

Does anyone know which airlines you can use? I know Southwest and American. Thanks for any input.

I had the Classic Package and I could have N/A. Beer anytime I wanted.
-
Hubby is asking if anyone knows if there is a non alcohol beer on the classic drink package? (Personally, I would just do without but....) :)
Yes Non Alcohol beer comes with the Classic Package:):).

We did that excursion 3 years ago and we were real happy:):). You are with a group of other people and 4 people to a jeep. You are in a convoy driving out to the beach and it was real nice. There is a lighthouse out there and the snorkeling was great. We even saw a Sea turtle so we think that you would really enjoy your excursion. We have been to Cozumel 5 times and that is one of the best excursions that we have done. Hope you have a great time with what you decide to do.
FOOTBALL ON THE EQUINOX
in Celebrity Cruises

The Packers are doing so well that they may flex the start time of the game as Da Bears still have a chance at the playoffs and it is also the oldest rivalry in football. I would think that you would have a good chance seeing the game but if not there will be other games on. Have a great cruise!!!
