Insurance through carnival is trop protection and therefore will cover flights as well.I am probably going to add the insurance to my cruise on the 14th even though it will probably not cover the weather related issues. It's still good to have. However I didn't book my air through them so it doesnt cover that right??Sent from my SM-T350 using Tapatalk

How can I find out which cabins are handicap accessible with pictures? When doing a mock booking, when I click on "request handicap room", it always brings me to an inside room. I like a balcony or window cabin. My wheel chair is 24" wide and the cabin doors are 22" wide. Thanks for your help!
We have always gone through carnival or TA for handicap accessible cabins. I dont think you can book one online but i could be wrong. I am sure someone will tell us if i am.

i was going to order my husband some caramel popcorn drizzled with chocolate from cherry on top and have it delivered when we board, but it's $8.00 for 7oz. I can get triple the amount at home for 1/2 the price. Can I take an unopened bag for him
On the ship the day we board! I know there is tons of food on the ship, but sometimes he likes a quick nibble on something sweet and the sweets on the ship stink! EXCEPT for room service chocolate cake!
Totally aree about Carnival sweets. I take my own.

Not sure if it was the blind "service dog" that was with a different person each day, or our tablemate blowing her nose into the napkin and tossing it on the table on each of the first two nights. We didnt return to MDR after that.

Hampton Inn
Agree with this. Hampton Inns are clean and reliable just like Carnival.

Each line does something better than the others, if not, they would not all be in business. Carnival lacks quality shows, but still offers great value.
We were on NCL and the shows were bettter but not well attended. If i ran a cruiseline and spent money on shows for half full theater i would move my resources elseware.
Cruise is total package; shows, food, ports, comfort, value, etc.

This is my least favorite part on a carnival cruise. No variety in the shows. How many years did we have "your fellow guests are the stars" as the final show? Kareoke is OK in limited doses, but not for the main theater and not as the grand finale. That being said, I will pass on the more expensive entertainment to keep the cost down of the cruise. Nothing wrong sitting by the singers or watching a movie on the lido.

Funny how the food selection varies. I loved guy's when we had it, but last cruise we didn't and felt like we had more lunch options without it.

There is something about the Fantasy class that I prefer. I can't in point it though.

Was on a cruise recently and saw a couple with a "service dog" that had to be pushed in a stroller and was blind. Different person pushing the dog around at any given time of day...

We were on the Splendor in May. Do not remember the sale. Was surprised at how few t-shirts they had.

I like Guys but believe the ships without it offer more lunch variety. Was on Splendor in May and loved the rotisserie. Didn't care fore MDR dinners, but lunch options and food were great

Had to cancel in Jan.
January of 2015 for a death in famy. Insurance through carnival was great. Covered airfare as well. Good luck

I should note Carnival is great on the ship helping out the disabled, but they are no help with accessible excursions

Old town trolley in key west, book ahead and they will have accessible trolly running that day.
In Nassau the scooter will work in trunk of taxi. It should come apart into 5 pcs. In February we took taxi to Atlantis. Can also walk/scooter to junkaroo beach and/or straw market.
Freeport is a dump and not accessible

Hope they are getting away from "your fellow guests are the stars" really felt more like "we didn't want to pay for your entertainment " better shows would go a long way in restoring the brand.

I would not skip either. Would skip Belize if that is on the itenorary but definitely not Mahogany Bay.

I sailed after dry dock. They did not fix the rooms.
Or the engine[emoji6]

Or whine about it endlessly on Cruise Critic.
With respect, I guess I would ask why you would read a thread about this subject thinking that you would not have upset customers on it?

Did not know the restrictions on the 25% off. My apologies. They (Carnival) should've cancelled the cruise before it ever left knowing they were having issues. Hope everyone can find a resolution they are happy with. Unfortunate....:(
Agreed. Those that are satisfied will go again, those that arent, will go away.

I get the lost day.... but they got $50 OBC and the concert ticket refunded.
And the 25% off a future cruise could be significant if they book something longer/ with a nicer cabin. And plus... Carnival did them a favor as her shows aren't that great. And Carnival reserves the right to change an itinerary. Definitely better than nothing. Life happens. I can see how some people are upset, though. I would be okay with this course of action if I was on the cruise.
You can only use the 25%on 2-5 day cruise. The ticket refunded was if you purchased one but the journey cruise does cost $20 more beyond the ticket. Not saying anyone deserves a free cruise out of this but carnival did bare minimum...if that.

No, a 4 day cruise was booked and these cruisers received 3

I must be the only one who thinks the pizza is terrible...to each their own. Steakhouse is very good, we do it once every cruise.
