  1. I cruised on the Breeze last year in September. On that sailing there was also a large presence of Gothic passengers. Had it not been for there dress attire, you wouldn't have even noticed them. They were not loud or obnoxious or rude. There events never affected any of the normal cruise entertainment. And one of the gentlemen in the group had an awesome voice and made for some great karaoke singing. So what I'm tying to say, is that if it's the same group we encountered last year I don't think it will affect your trip any way shape or form. Happy Cruising!

  2. We actually had that very same cabin you have on hold, 7455, back in 2013 on our first Breeze cruise. We enjoyed the larger balcony, but we missed the couch and the cabin space that we had with our standard balcony rooms. Therefore on our Breeze trip in 2014 and for this year we have gone back to the standard balcony. It was a great view though, just a little tight with the space.

  3. Hi there, I had an L-shaped balcony on the breeze last year and we really enjoyed the extra balcony space. The room was a little smaller though because you get somewhat of a hallway versus more open space. We just got off the breeze on September 21 and this year we had a standard balcony room....and while we did miss the extra balcony space, we liked having the extra room in the cabin. We were on deck 7 when we had the L shaped room and I don't recall a staircase or any noise.

Schools here in the Tampa Bay Area get out the first week of June.

The gym is a decent size. There were plenty of treadmills, bikes, and ellipticals. they have a free weight area, and a good amount of weight machines. It was ofcourse busier on sea days with guest and staff members. Mornings were the worse so we tended to go around lunch time. Port days any time seemed to be ok.

  4. Hi there...I actually did that very excursion last year on my Breeze cruise. We went with Pro Excursions and booked directly with them. There was actually a three year old little boy on our speed boat. He did wonderful and the crew was great with him. He even got to play captain. This was a great day in port, and if we ever go back there...we would book it again.

  5. Hi there,

I have been in an Aft facing cabin on the Dream and really enjoyed it. It has become one of my favorite cabins. We were on Deck 9, which of course was right under the Lido Deck therefore we had nothing but shade, which is what we wanted. We aren't the lay out in the sun/tanning type.

  6. I have been on both ships. On the Breeze I had a L-shaped balcony room 7455, while we enjoyed the larger balcony, we felt the room itself was somewhat small for two adults. On the Dream we an Aft-Extended Balcony and enjoyed both the room with the couch and the balcony. We were on deck 9 so there was some privacy, being no one could look down on us, but we could see the neighbors below us if we looked down. We enjoyed the slides and golf on both. We don't travel with children so I can't put my opinion in on that.

  7. To OP, I'm not one to post much on here, but I read a lot. My first and only post on CC was about the ProExcursion tour to Sanoa Island via speed boat. We did it back in October 2013. I really enjoyed this excursion. It was so fun and we had no problems, there was even a 3 year old on our tour who had a blast. They provide life jackets and the ride back is way more fun than the ride over because they go a little quicker.

  8. So this is my first post on cruise critic...I have read a lot on here, just never posted anything. I went on the Carnival Breeze 8 day Southern Caribbean October 26. For La Romana we went with Pro Excursions for the Pro Saona Carnival Tour. This was the only port that we weren't quite sure what to do at, and probably the one that I was the most nervous about.

Well to my surprise, this is the port we had the most fun at during our entire cruise. Roberto and his crew on our speed boat were absolutely wonderful. So we were up and at breakfast early that morning so we could get right off the ship when it docked. I will have to say I was a bit confused on where to locate the taxi cabs, but we just continued to walk through the parking lot, past all the buses for the carnival booked tours, and finally exited the the parking lot. Well across the street there is a baseball field and next to it there is a lot filled with cabs. There was a nice lady who spoke English who you just told what excursion or area you were trying to get to and she directed you to the correct place. The cab got us safely to Bayahibe, which is where Pro excursion is located, we were told what cab number to look for, and that he would be there when we got back from the tour, and guess what...he was!

So for the tour itself, back to Roberto and his team, I want to say for the Pro company they had two speed boats. Ours was the second to leave. There was about 14-16 of us on there, plus the cutest 3 year old(not my kid BTW). The tour guides were so good with him too, which wasn't hard because he was so well behaved, they even let him captain the boat. He slept for part of the ride over, which was probably about 30 minutes because we stopped at some sight seeing spots, which were mangroves and some caves, also on the way there we did the snorkeling stop for those who wanted (they did have equipment on the boat if you don't have your own). When we finally got to the beach it was beautiful. Pro has its own little area with beach chairs, a covered area, and bathrooms. The food was really good and was served buffet style by there staff. On the way back we stopped at the natural pool, the water there was even better. It was crystal clear, the temperture of the water was perfect, and you could see the biggest, most amazing star fish. Best part...the rum and coke was served here and it was plentiful. All in all this tour was so much fun. Me and my boyfriend really enjoyed ourselves.

If you go to La Romana book this excursion!

I do recommend water shoes at the beach in Saona, there were some pretty big rocks we kept stepping on...then again, even though we live in Florida, we never go to the beach so maybe our feet just aren't used to it, but I was happy I had my water shoes.
