I've been in and out of Port Everglades 4 times year. Always a smooth experience from airport to port. It's my favorite because the distance is so short - 10-12 minutes with traffic from cruise terminal to airport door. Most of the time the security terminal is empty is well (so much so that they tend to use only one x-ray machine or body scanner at any given time). I've never had an issue although the seating can get crowded. If you fly Delta, the Sky lounge is ALWAYS empty so go there if you can.

Thank you all for the helpful tips!
Few more questions - from some of the pics it looks like there's 8-10 hot stone loungers, did you ever have to wait? Should I bring a lock and can I read my Kindle for an hour or two anywhere in the spa without being disturbed or feel like I'm hogging space that someone else wants? How crowded was it?
-
Sarahbeth476 what was usual attire while in the Spa? Swimsuit - wrap or no wrap? Swimdress? Just trying to prepare.

I'm going to try a Spa cabin on the Breeze for the first time next month. Excited to really enjoy the Spa and everything in it.
Does anyone have a working link to Cloud9 Spa treatments? Do we get discounts for being in a cabin? Anything I should try or isn't worth it? Like should a I get a hot stone massage when apparently there are heated stone chairs (or some such)? :D
-
Clarea thanks. So I'm guessing there's no chance of bring it back onboard and re-activating with a discount then?

They are usually at a station nearest the center of the WJ, and thus nearest the kitchen where they have grills. They won't be at any station not connected to the center of the WJ. I've seen them on at least 3 classes of ships because we often eat in the WJ for dinners. It is much quieter and more relaxing than the dining room. Also, believe it or not, we end up eating LESS if we eat dinner there as we can take small portions and don't have as many courses as the MDR.
Thank you! I'll have to check it out.

The soda packages come with a cup right? You give the cup to the waiter/server for a drink but what about your ID card? Can you take the cup with you on a new cruise?
-
You could not be more wrong.
I doubt you've even been in the WJ for dinner at any time over any of your cruises because by your own admission, you "hate" buffets. As member critterchick mentioned, there are steaks, salmon, chicken and other items which are NOT cooked until you order them. We had delicious offerings on Serenade last month, truly amazing.
.
Being serious - where are those made-to-order meats usually? I've seen the carving stations and things like pasta/stir-fry sections but not salmon or steak. Where do I go please?
-
Thank you for asking this question and to all the posters who responded. I've never bought a drink package but I'm pretty sure I need the Replenish for an upcoming TA. Cannot imagine 14 days at sea with only lemonade and unsweet tea. :D

Thanks for your thoughtful answers!
And perhaps I'm mis-remembering a different restaurant, but I thought the surcharge on Chops was $25? Varies between breakfast and dinner I guess?
-
Spookwife, is Chops complimentary with a Suite/Gold Card?
-
People have mentioned Park, Solarium, and Wipe-Out Cafe for breakfast? I'm curious about all of them. Are any of these venues non-inclusive (i.e. you pay extra fees for meals)? Do they have extensive breakfast menus?

building up cruise points for my husband and me!
Same, same, same!
Kind of disappointed that it'll take me to the end of 2016 to get to Diamond Plus! *pouts* Oh well.

In fact, on my cruise earlier this month (Vision of the Seas), most people I spoke with agreed the food was better in the Windjammer than in the dining room.
I had the same feeling!! Was wondering if I was crazy??
-
Excellent, enjoy....all the suite perks without the noise from Windjammer carts you get in GSs
Did you try the in-room dining? I'm curious if the table on the balcony (is there one?) is big enough to hold dinner for four individuals.

Thank you' date=' but the Enchantment is the Vision class. Does the Quantum class work the same way?

Hmmm, I checked but don't see anything here - http://www.royalcaribbean.com/findacruise/cabinclass/cabinTypes/home.do?cabincls=I&br=R&shipCode=QN
Hopefully someone can answer definitively.

Looking for 'Family Inside Rooms'. They have a lot on Enchantment at least. I think these cabins have the normal bed that breaks into two fulls and the 'bunk' beds that fold into the sides of the ships. There's also Junior Suites which have the normal bed and a sofa bed that you pull out for the boys.

I'm very excited to order the MDR in-room service. Does anyone know if you can order multiple portions of the same dish without issue? I know you can in the MDR.
-
Which AFT RFS did you get? The 1 in my sig is excellent if you can get one you will love it. Balcony is huge.
Pricing drops on RFS during off season (October - February, not including hollidays)
When is your cruise?
8166 :D Garavar - its the mirror of yours I think. Cruise is in September, so I'll have to see if they have price drops over the summer for the fall. :D

I have $300 OBC, can I pre-pay for a spa treatment or suite gratuities using a portion of the OBC online or at the port before its put on our cards?
Also what else would you use the OBC for - that doesn't include drinks packages or shopping?
-
You'll like it! Suites have some wonderful perks!
In your experience, do they tend to go fast or have they been available later? The Enchantment only seems to have 4 RFS and it was tough working with my agent to find an available aft. Nevertheless I've heard of people getting them last minute as well.

I just booked the Royal Family Suite Aft as a surprise present for my parents' birthday. I wanted all of us together so didn't get the separate rooms. Plus breakfast in the room sounds nice. But fyi - the RFS has two bathrooms, two separate bedrooms, living room and the balcony.
Anyway, as we get closer I'll see if I can get better deal.
-
Can anyone confirm the stateroom category - is it P2?
-
I'm not sure head-for-head which is better.
I booked a 9-night B2B on Independence of the Seas for $1,800 total. Interior - Deck 10 cabin,
Today, I see that a 10-night on Grandeur of the Seas is $2,100 total. Interior - Deck 4. If the price went down a smidge it could have been a better deal.
Anyway both of these are solo rates and the Grandeur of the Seas sale is still on.
Dates: 03/30/16 - 04/09/16
Interiors Category N; $2,100 all-inclusive
Ship: Grandeur of the Seas, Royal Caribbean
Port: Baltimore

For transportation there are several options as well - taxis (never had an issue and the ride is usually $12 (thats with one passenger), uber is there and the ride I took last time was $8, and then there's plenty of shuttles.
