I just got 4 kits from them, 4 days to get to me. I live in MA. Exp date is Nov 22
Did they come FedEx? I ordered last night but haven't gotten the "shipped" email yet. I still have time. We sail 2/20 on Glory.

Wonderful. I understand, because I believe my love of travel started with traveling with my mother from San Francisco to St Louis Missouri as a kid. We fly a few times and also took the Santa Fe San Francisco Chief train, was an amazing experience on the train for a young child.
I hope one day my children will feel the same way. We started cruising when they were 13 and 11 respectively. They went on a cruise every February break (teacher here) including taking our son's graduating class (28 kids) on a 8 day out of NYC. The, now 22 yo daughter, may take the last family cruise this coming July with her grandparents, parents, aunt, and great aunt to Europe. They have often said those memories (we often cruised with their aunt and cousins) were the best memories they have.
Moral of the story, parents don't give your kids things, give them your time and experiences. They last a lifetime.

Our last cruise (Feb 2020) we didn't have Cheers so I brought a gallon pitcher (with locking lid) and at happy hour we bought a couple of fishbowl for the pitcher and then for drinking. We took the pitcher back to the cabin and it lasted a couple of days. Should have seen the looks we got 🤣

We are going to be on her again (for the third time) in July when she moves to England. Can't wait!

That's my worry. From upstate NY, Google says my drive time to PortMiami is 21.5 hours. My flight down the day before is at 1 pm. If I knew a day in advance, as retired people we could drive it. But these Southwest cancellations seem to happen after several delays first, by which time it would obviously be too late.
We actually change planes in Baltimore, 5 pm flight. If we knew our first leg wasn't going to happen a few hours before it's scheduled 1 pm departure, we could make the 5.5 hour drive to BWI and still make our second flight. But by the time you find out it's canceled, it's too late to do anything else.
Regretting my flight choices at this point. At least we have travel insurance, though I haven't really researched what would be covered if I missed the cruise due to flight cancelation.
Right there with you Earthworm Jim. Also from upstate NY (Cooperstown) and February 20 Glory cruise out of 'Nawlins. We are flying in a day early on American in the afternoon out of PHL. For us it's 4.5 hr drive to the airport so driving another 18 hours would be hell.

I'm interested too! What would be an average cost?

I have searched everywhere for the answer with no avail. We are cruising out of 'nawlins' (new orleans) and will be flying back to PA. Since we will have "been out of the country" will we need to test before flying home? (Both fully vaccinated and I'm getting my booster next week). Thanks in advance for any help.

I haven't been in two years but here's my stuff from back then Carnival Glory. I'll be back on in March so there will be a live review on this forum then. And if you need it here is my stuff for New Orleans.
Saint Greg, you have great stuff and I used it a couple of years back and will again in February 2022 when DH and I get to resume cruising!

I've also heard putting a small piece of tissue inside your mask helps reduce the fogging. I haven't tried it but probably will this cruise!
Even better, if you get cloth medical tape (available walmart first aid isle) and you put 1/2 of the tape on your nose and the other half on your mask, your glasses won't fog up. My daughter got this tip from a surgical nurse. I have used it (as well as my students) when we have to wear masks along with safety glasses.

Fishbone,
Thanks so much for the information. Do you know if the buses/vans at the Market go to Curacao Distillery? We have booked a tour there.
TIA

Huge thank you to you all. I have a December cruise out of Baltimore and I was looking to see when we could board, being that we are first time Platinum. All our other cruises have been out of FL or TX with the exception of one out of NY and we have always gotten into port at 6 am and cleared to leave by 8 am. This being said, I booked an 11 am flight from Baltimore to Albany not realizing that we don't get in until 10 am.
I was able to go to SouthWest site and grab the last 4 seats on a 3:15 flight (their next available). Thank you all for averting a major disaster to a fun filled vacation.

I've sailed from NY, NJ and Baltimore and even though I'm closer to NY and NJ, I've come to prefer the Pride from Baltimore.
Easy to get to the port, great parking, and the size of the ship is perfect for me. There's nothing about it I don't like and I tend to cruise for the ship more than the ports so the Bermuda and Bahama runs are OK for me. I've been to them many times before.
OH yes, there are repeat cruisers on Pride. LOL I've gone 6X in the last 18 months and have met the same people over and over on more than one cruise. One lady I met goes on the Pride once a month! (We're casino people...lol)
I'm going on the Journey's on 1/5/20 and already know a few people who are going that were on the 9/15 cruise this year. It's nice to see the same faces and reunite on different trips!
Sgttami, What time can a platinum arrive to board the Pride? This will be our first time being platinum. TIA.

Are the cups the Tervis ones?

I've been there on a land vacation. There were change/bathrooms at the foot of the volcano. The higher you walk up, the hotter the water in the pools is. It was a flat incline that you walk. Pavement.

I'm on her in 10 days (whoot!). How was the chair hog situation? Do you have the fun times?

Thanks for the info. on the confirmation e-mail. I was wondering too if our 4 bookings were linked for dining. I did find it!

I second Captian Marvin. We have used them three times and will be using them again in February.

I have used Captain Marvin's three times and loved it each time (#4 will be in February). We had about 15 people on our boat. Much few than the cruise line cattle wagon excursion and we snorkeled in two spots.
-
We also went through cavetubing dot bz - they were so nice, friendly, and it was a super fun adventure with them. Mr. Reyes (the owner) and his family were wonderful.. I wouldn't hesitate to book with them again (and for the record, we are 2 women over 50).
Same here. Twice. Loved it and had no problem getting back to the ship on time. We are going to do it again Feb. '19

Did you try Airbnb? I have a great apartment that sleeps 6 in Marginy (one street from the French quarter) for $300/night. Split 6 ways it's not bad.
