$99 AU, it was $84 AU until a few days ago, it went up two weeks before the cruise departs.
The US price is $55 +18% gratuity, so about $83 AU.
An Aussie cruiser ripoff?
I was close to cancelling an RCI I booked. Lucky for me I was able to purchase the $ for $ deal which saved me from cancelling.
I am hoping the price of the drinks in US don't go up :\

I think I saw somewhere on the RCI board that drinks prices had gone up recently. And the steakhouse restaurant cover charge also increased in price.
The Ultimate package price is still showing as $99 when I access it through my booking.
Is the $99 in AU or US ?

Hi Koz1
When you bought your OBC was it at aud 1:1 usd rate or was it the forex rate?
Would be interesting if they refunded at the exchange rate after purchasing 1:1 rate !!!!
-
We bought some yesterday, but are now wondering when we get on board if it will really be honoured as 1 for 1 or if a conversion rate will have taken place. The rep on the phone assured me it would be, but where do we stand if they don't honour as I certainly wouldn't have done it otherwise.
I got confirmation from RCI that they will be honouring previous transactions before their "System error"

Just tried to hit that FB link again to go mad at the guy some more, it's now been removed
I just noticed that, if you go to posts to page there are a few others with RCI confirming that they will honour previous ones.

Confirmation from RCI that the dollar for dollar will not be reinstated !!!

That's interesting. Anyone else getting this response.
It appears that way, there are a few facebook groups talking of the same thing.

WOW I am glad I got mine yesterday.. $3000
If going by the XE conversion I just saved myself $900+
3,000.00 USD = 3,919.39 AUD
US Dollar ↔ Australian Dollar
1 USD = 1.30646 AUD 1 AUD = 0.765424 USD

Sorry mate, but that isn't helping the discussion. I appreciate you trying to assist, but people are putting money into their vacations right now. So a *could* isn't extremely helpful advice as people are looking for definites here. Where did you get that date from?
Are you serious ?? Isn't helping ??? I think it helps a lot if people are worried about it ending at least there is now a date they can get the OBC fixed up by..... There is no definite ending date hence why I posted the information I received straight from RCI whilst I bought my dollar for dollar OBC. See my previous post RE: Phone number for you to call to try and get a definite answer !

I just placed a heap of on board credit using the current dollar for dollar promotion by using my visa card.... I rang 0299375400. I initially booked through Flight Centre and have not yet fully paid off the cruise. I was able to place $1100 on my card (which also has the $400 included obc and $1500 on another card...
The bloke on the phone didn't say when it would it expire but at the moment it COULD finish up on the 28th of February but may be extended.
Hope this helps

Sure... but it could be any time. For example, drinks packages themselves were introduced completely separately.
The prices haven't gone up on their website as it's not Feb 1 yet. :D
Are you saying they are going UP again ???

I have booked a RCI cruise in February 2016.... All I am hearing is that the $$$ is going to drop down to around $0.70........ I guess it may be worth exchanging a heap of cash now at the Post office.
1 AUD = 0.79 USD 2,000.00 = 1,580.00
That is a big difference but hoping the $ will go up before February, 2016.....
I think by getting cash I will save the 3% exchange rates etc... I was reading that they will not let you use travel money cards that do not have your name on it either which I think is crap.

I had 1 in my cabin, forget if there was one in the bathroom. took a cheap power board and a double adaptor and had no issues with either.

I can not find any information about it, I no longer smoke the stinkies and now use electronic vapour. Does anyone know if you are allowed to take them on board ?
What do you want to know about Pacific Explorer?
in P&O Cruises ( Australia )

Can't find any information about cost of food etc..
Will be a contributing factor deciding between this and a RCI cruise for next year.
