  1. I am trying to understand your scenario.

Do you have an evening flight home the same day that you disembark the ship in Miami?

Are you saying you want to go from the Port of Miami to Ft Lauderdale to meet your relative, go to Sawgrass Mall and then back to MIA all in the same day?

If so, renting a car is pretty much your only reasonably priced option.

No we are meeting the relative then going to stay with them in Naples for a few days after but they are working all day so I was wondering what to do about our luggage that day. We have now been told they have an apartment beside sawgrass so we just have to get there. Is Uber the best way for us?

  2. Just wondering if there is any advice about how to get there after we dock in Miami. We are meeting a relative in ft lauderdale in the evening and would love to go back to sawgrass again although is there anywhere for us to store our post cruise luggage??

  3. Hello everyone! Southofnorth, deep purple, we are planning our cruise 5-6-7 July 2017 and we would like to join a small group with Tzarina tours. Can they provide the evening program? Advice, please

Hi, yes Tzarina Tours can and do provide evening programs. What I would recommend you do is contact her and say what you would like to do and she will organise it to exactly the way you want! Hope you have a great time!!

  4. I've been with Tzarina Tours before, she is amazing and can accommodate pretty much anything you can ask for.

I have done previous posts as a reply to other threads so have a look for more detail and I've also done a review on TripAdvisor so please take a look. My user is gemma1930 and here is the link https://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/ShowUserReviews-g298507-d10072993-r370502633-Tzarina_Tours-St_Petersburg_Northwestern_District.html#review370502633

They will sort the visa out for you and keep you informed all the way!

If you have any questions please let me know and I'll be happy to help! Hope you have an amazing time!

  5. I went on the Viking ocean website to check out the tours.... will be looking further for st. petersburg

Hey, I wrote a post recently about Tzarina Tours in St Petersburg. I've put it below as they were fantastic. Nina used to work for one of the bigger tour companies but decided to start out on her own and is able to be more personable and can accommodate pretty much anything from a group of 1!

My review from the other post and Trip Advisor is below:

Tzarina Tours was amazing, I put a review on trip advisor in May 2016 and it's about a 2 day tour. The girl who owns it is Nina and is so lovely and accommodating. She recently started her own company and is already #26. Her prices are pretty competitive and if there is something you aren't sure about she can adapt it for you.

We ended up in a tour of 4 but could have been up to 12 although I think it can be any size you want. Any questions just ask and I can send you her personal email as I have ended up remaining friends with her after the 2 days!!

  6. Has anyone used Tzarina Tours for St. Petersburg?

    Hi,

I've used Tzarina Tours in SPG and had an amazing time with them. Here is my review on TripAdvisor for them - I'm gemma1930. Please don't worry about this being a new company - they will look after you and treat you like family. They will organise your visa (this is what I was worried about as before I didn't know what was going to happen!). If you want anymore information let me know!

  8. Hi, bit of a short notice one here and I'd appreciate some advice as quick as you can please! I'm leaving on the 26th August and will be finishing my cruise in Vancouver with my flight not till 8pm.

We are not really sure what we want to do-we've heard the sky bridge (?) is amazing as is the whale watching but that's it. Also we aren't sure if we want to do a private tour or just hire a car.

Any advice would be very much appreciated-we are rather behind on everything as this is our honeymoon and we just got married last week so slightly forgot about our day in Vancouver as we had all other trips booked a long time ago.....

We are in our twenties and one has a back problem but we don't mind a bit of walking and not really keen on just going to museums/galleries all day.

    Thanks, Gemma

  9. I would very much recommend a private tour in St Petersburg with a company called Best Guides and request Nina as your guide, we had a fantastic tour and believe that we had a much better tour than anything the ship could offer not to mention how much cheaper it actually was! They offer different tours and we did the 2 day All St Petersburg. If you need any details give me a shout and I can give you their details. Have a great time!! :-)

  10. We had a brilliant time in St Petersburg, we booked a private tour with Best Guides and there were only 4 of us in the group. We had such a good time that I'm still in touch with Nina the guide as we got on very well and she even offered when we go back to plan a catch up and I've offered the same if she comes over too! We did have fantastic weather which topped the trip up even more, the worst part of the trip if you can call it bad was the 20 minute wait on day 1 when we were going through passport control but even then it was very smooth and they kept opening new booths!

It is each to their own however I was unsure how I was going to find St Petersburg and I was very pleasantly surprised and would go back again! If you do get the opportunity to go, try it, if you don't go you'll always wonder if it's something you should have done! (At least that's what I keep telling my other half!)

  11. SHIP: Eclipse

    CABIN #: 1610

    DECK #: 11

    CLASS: Aqua A1 I think

    AREA: starboard midship

    BED NEAR: bathroom

    QUIET?: mostly, see below

    BALCONY VIEW: good

    BALCONY SIZE: very large

    WIND A PROBLEM?: N/A

    SOOT A PROBLEM?: N/A

PROBLEMS/COMMENTS: the extractor fan in the bathroom was very noisy so we had to put tissues on it to minimise the noise which helped a lot. Also the bathroom door if it was closed could bang during the night so you have to leave it open although no major issue. The room attendants store cupboard is outside the room and sometimes could be noisy in the morning and evening but it was also mixed with our neighbours who had a wheelchair so their stateroom door also slammed when they entered or left. On occasion the pool deck above was noisy, I assume from cleaning as lots of sunbeds were moved around at about 7am for half an hour.

All in I would still book this cabin again, so much so I've booked the same room on Equinox for next year anyway!

  12. Ok I'm going against the trend here but don't have a go as it is my opinion. I personally love looking at the art and sitting in the auctions watching everything happen (no I don't do it for the bubbly as I have the drinks package!). I have also purchased 2 pieces of art which I had researched the price before hand including taking the shipping and buyers cost etc into account and was happy to pay for it. I'm on holiday so why can't I treat myself to something like this, I work hard for my money and yes I know that it is a bit of a hassle when there is an issue with the picture if there is something wrong but it got fixed. I'm happy with the art as I bought it for me and don't plan on trying to sell it and I get loads of comments from friends when they see it. As I said this is my opinion so please don't get offended or anything. Each to their own!

  13. We have flown down once from Edinburgh and since that trip we decided that it's better for us (me) that if we drive down we (I) can take unlimited luggage. Yes it does mean leaving at 5am but it's still better than worrying about the weight of the bags.

I have seen and heard about lots of people who get buses from the cruise companies, a normal bus or the train too but we aren't keen on that.

  14. I read on earlier posts that if you joined the "IKEA Family" there was a code you could use to get a discount on the Stockholm Card. You could purchase a 3 day card for the price of 2. I have emailed IKEA and the Stockholm Tourist Board to ask but does anyone on CC know if this is still available for 2015? Or was this just a bad joke?

I think it does still work by typing 'IKEA' into the promo code box but you can also save on postage in the payment screen by putting in some business details too. The code worked a couple of weeks ago when I was trying to find a discount for my 1 day one.

  15. Oooh - I hope she was. I mean I know that there are some guidelines as to how late in your pregnancy you can cruise but being asked if you're pregnant and you aren't, that would be a bummer.

I've been asked if I'm pregnant a couple of times but I've never been offended. I think they just ask a lot of women to be on the safe side even if they don't look pregnant/plump!

  16. Sainsburys has always been very good for any denominations and different currencies, just give them a call in advance incase they don't have enough. Not only do you get nectar points you get a discount for having a nectar card too!

  17. Excited to finally reach platinum status. Do you mean to tell me next month when I finally cruise as a Platinum member I will not get the pins as promised in my stateroom?

You should get them within the first couple of days, if not go and speak to the loyalty manager and they will get you them!

  18. I have long hair (half way down my back) and it is also rather thick. I've used the hair dryers on the ships for years, yes they can take longer than your normal hair dryer and sometimes holding the button down can be frustrating at times but I'd still rather use that and have extra space for shoes! :-) I can still shower/wash and dry hair and be ready for formal night in 30/40mins.

Whatever you decide have a great cruise!!

  19. We got them for platinum and diamond, didn't get emerald as we went straight from platinum to diamond. The diamond pin looks like the one above but only have 1 "diamond" on it and I think the platinum one is silver coloured (been a while since I looked at them).

We actually didn't get our diamond pins until we were talking to the loyalty manager when booking our next cruise, we were talking about the pins and she told us she didn't have very many but would see if she can find some and when we returned to our cabin that evening they were left out for us :-)

If you don't ask you don't get!
