  1. The internet on NCL is a joke,

I have a tip, DON’T PURCHASE INTERNET SERVICES ON NCL, I spent over $200 on 1 unlimited premium internet package for our recent cruise, it frequently didn’t work, it would not connect to sites, nothing like it was advertised, PLUS they wanted me to spend an additional $9.95 to be able to message people on the ship with their app, REALLY? I just spend over $200.

NCL internet is a decade behind Royal Caribbean’s VOOM, which worked great, NCL should be ashamed, their excuse was that their locked into a contract with some crappy company providing the service and they can’t get out of the contract in order to update their internet services on all their ships.

Plus we also had “free” internet from our package of 250 minutes, my girlfriend couldn’t even use that up since she couldn’t get online and surf reliably. I posted what the browser would frequently show.

  2. I’m spoiled with the internet speed on Royal.Caribbean, how are the speeds here on NCL? We have the free internet package, 250 minutes per cabin, how does that work with 2 people, can you be online at the same time? Should I purchase an unlimited package and see if they’ll let me pay the difference? Do I need to do it onboard or is there a way to do it at the pre sailing discounted price if I call?

  3. I think these cards are a great idea. Haven't seen them before. We don't drink enough to get the drink packages offered but these I think we would use. I just wonder if there are any restrictions on mixed drinks?

They starting showing up in the bars on day 2, I guess they didn’t sell enough full drink packages on day 1, so they put these out to entice people

  4. We were on a RCL ship and just got off Thanksgiving morning and we booked with Next Cruise, and we also attached our travel agent to it so we were able to get any additional deals from them, but the next day there was a better Black Friday deal, so I called my travel agent who now has control of our reservation and she got us even more OBC, plus the OBC our travel agency throws in.

  5. You really don’t need cash, and just carry some for incidentals and emergency, you can prepay your gratuities, you can even charge amounts to your card in the casino if I’m not mistaken

  6. I prefer cruise vacations, we just did a 10 day guided tour in Italy, and living out of the suitcase and having to get up at 6 am everyday (except in the cities where we had 2 days) to have our luggage out for pickup and then an early breakfast and on the bus by 8 am was exhausting, we need a vacation from our vacation now. Plus the meals included on some nights was really poor and the included breakfasts were just ok.

With a cruise you get into your cabin and unpack, you have great food and food choices every meal and in between, you can sleep in if you want on sea days and you can still see a lot of places.

  7. You can use Bags to Go at the airport, they can deliver your bags to the Port and you can Uber or Lyft over to any place you want to go to eat or if you have time after breakfast, you can go try the Water Taxi if a bit

Here is the response from Bags to go:

For as low as $10 per bag, passengers arriving into Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport can have Bags To Go deliver their luggage directly to any #cruise ship leaving from Port Everglades.
