I go to the buffet solo, because my husband wants nothing to do with it. I try it out, just to see if there's anything good. I get tiny portions (this is very hard for a guy with limited self-control, hence I'm a big guy). I go back often to try everything and generally don't finish anything, because it just isn't good. That's not really the point though. I just leave my phone and key card on the table. I've never had a buffet crew member (roving bartender? bar server? waiter? server? plate cleaner upper?) take anything but my plate. If I keep my utensils on the plate, they don't take the plate. It's worked every time on Pr1ma, Joy, and Getaway.

Great tip there... so just leave the utensils on the plate.  I've been wondering how to stop them from taking my plate!

Agreed to a certain extent.  I just find the CNs to be more flexible and like to keep at least four in my account at any point in time,  I tend to book last minute.  My understanding is that you have to buy the CFs at least four months prior to using them.  But I may be wrong.  I’ve always just waited until I got onboard to refill the pot when I need to.

Either way, my point remains.  The way they sell the CNs is deceptive.  It’s OK for those of us that understand how it works, but it’s obvious from all the posts on this subject that their confusing marketing is having its desired effect.

I like to book last minute too.  So you can bank them and use them for last minute bookings? Does the double up offer require it to be at least 4 months away from sailing date?

  3. Bermuda Byways tours usually stop here for a quick visit and bathroom break.  Heidi usually points out some points of interests here but the 2 times I've been on her tour we didn't have time to walk around.  It would probably be worth an hour visit.

Would you recommend taking Heidi’s tour even if you have visited Bermuda several times before?

The first time it was just me, 2nd time was with some family so I went with her again. I'll take her tour everytime I go with someone new.

Sorry to hear about Buddy. The tour is long but doesn't she still include lunch?

It is pretty easy to do a private taxi tour with a driver who has had a Blue Flag guide course. You can pre arrange or find drivers at the port. They have a 3 hour minimium and youb can direct them to what you intersted in. I don't make recommendations any more because the drivers I knew were good have died or retired. There are plenty of replacements but I don't want to say a name about a driver I know nothing about.

    Heidi still includes lunch.

Just an FYI that you absolutely CAN post a link to a tour operator's Facebook presence....it is only ROLL CALLS on FB that cannot be posted.

That said, I've personally taken Heidi's full day tour and I'll tell you it was a very long day!  I know (from following her on FB) that she has just lost her beloved pup Buddy, who traveled with her on every single tour so she may be delayed in responding.

Ok, good to know.  I had seen people talking about getting into trouble for posting links in the past. I didn't know it was specific to roll calls.  Thanks for clarifying.

Yeah, sad to hear about Buddy.

I sent first two request from AOL, I have just sent 3rd from gmail.  Hopefully I will get a reply.

My thought was it might have ended up in her spam folder.

I have sent two emails with no response for next May.  Any advice on how to reach Heidi?

I've always gotten a response the next morning. If it's been a couple of days.. try her Facebook page and message her there.

  9. Hey, I'm not sure of a tour of St George but I can tell you that there are plenty of taxi's around both St. George and Fort St. Catherine. We had no issues just picking up a taxi between those places.

Just trying to plan ahead for how much cash to bring. I already know I'll need cash for the shuttle to Horseshoe Bay and possibly a chair/umbrella (unsure if I'm going to bother). Do they prefer cash or card at the pub?

Whichever you prefer.  They take both.

That's fine.  As long as there is some sort of bar still there with food there and shaded areas to sit in near the bar.  That's all that matters.  🙂

Yes to both as of 2 weeks ago.  Wifi code is on the bottom of receipts.

Thank you for this information.  We booked Heidi for a TA this fall.   She was quick to respond and described a fun and full day.
