Don't buy insurance from Allianz or any company for that matter! It never pays without a hassle and never pays why you expect. It makes you feel good thinking you are covered, but when you have an issue such as the ship breaking down, Celebrity Millennium Ketchikan, Alaska Aug 2013, you don't get your refund. Insurance is a waste of money! We cruise often and have stopped taking out insurance. I'm sure there will be others who disagree. If they would like to pay me what Allianz owes me, I might change my mind. Otherwise forget it.

We will be sailing from Ft. Laud in Feb and if it is anything like our last boat, it will be great. I love Celebrity. However, don't buy insurance from Allianz. In fact I will never buy insurance again. They never pay full refunds and they have so many restrictions, it's better to take a risk. Insurance just makes you feel better and if you have no problems then it seems like a good idea. However, should you have your ship break down.... forget about any refunds. Lesson learned, I will NEVER buy trip insurance for a cruise again. It is only good if you have health issues. It does not provide full coverage for wether, plane delays, excretions, or mechanical breakdowns. It has limits that fall far short of the actual cost even if the claim is for health resins. Travel insurance is a SCAM! I will roll the dice from now on. I am still waiting for our partial refund since August and still they say it is being reviewed. SAVE YOUR MONEY!
