  1. Following this thread as we are looking to cruise again with Princess ASAP and Enchanted in July would suit us well.

Thanks for all the research. We are based in Switzerland so Civitavecchia is a very convenient train journey for us with no flying.. From experience of sailing from there and Piraeus quite often we much prefer Civitavecchia although Piraeus has been modernized recently.

Interestingly and as already commented on by others Princess US website is still offering the Rome round trip sailings for July onwards, but there is a Princess Website dedicated to Switzerland and from there Enchanted sailings are not showing at all until August 31.

Guess we just have to sit it out until Italy and Greece have opened up more. Hoping also that there will be last minute deals to fill the ships but who knows in the current climate.

  2. Our TA heard from Princess today that our M207 MF is 36 square feet and the deluxe balconies are 45 sq ft. See attached for the room diagram comparisons. These sketches are way off as others already noted, compare the size of sofas - the deluxe balcony one looks like an arm chair :D

Anyhow - we decided to stick with the MF, works out at 8 bucks extra p/p p/day more in total over a 10 day sailing compared to DF and even though you get 9sq ft less of a balcony - you do get obviously more inside space, a free glass of champagne and a bath tub - that's enough of a deal maker for us

  3. I think I would be a bit upset if I didn't know the size of the balcony before I booked.

we are in this predicament. We are booked in a MF mini suite M207 and assumed that the balcony would be bigger than a deluxe balcony, but from everything I read here and see on the deck plans this seems to not be the case. Our TA called Princess to check and was told that our MF balcony is bigger than Deluxe balcony but I'm not at all convinced.

    Can anyone confirm this?

    Cheers

  4. We will be on the Coral Feb.3 for the 10 day Panama Canal Cruise. What is the Sabatina breakfast perk for Suite passangers. I have not heard of it and we will be in #D704 which is a VS suite. Geez are we going to get something I do not know about?

They launched it on the Coral Princess last Tuesday, so enjoy:cool:

Sabatini's Breakfast for Suite Passengers -- Also launched on Ruby Princess, a new program for suite passengers will be expanded across the fleet, offering them the opportunity to enjoy an exclusive breakfast in Sabatini's. Beginning with a "Good Morning Mimosa," the menu features a variety of breakfast favorites, plus specialty items such as brioche French toast with apple & cinnamon compote, yogurt and super granola parfait with raspberry swirl, soft-poached egg over potato & vegetables with hollandaise sauce, and freshly made Belgian waffles. Suite passengers can enjoy this new amenity, along with the restaurant's dramatic top-of-ship views, from approximately 7:30 to 10:30 a.m. daily.

  5. We disembarked the Coral last Tuesday in Fort Lauderdale after a 14-day Panama Canal cruise for Xmas and New Year. Great ship - the Universe Lounge at the back of the ship is the best lounge in any Princess ship we have sailed on.

We had a Balcony Cabin side/rear facing on the forward starboard 'bump' (A309)- awesome position to be in - less wind and great views going through the Canal. We did traditional 2nd seating dining.

When we got to Punta Arenas in Costa Rica the Island Princess was directly opposite us on the pier and there were no other ships in - made for some great photos of the two identical twin sister ships.

Shame that there's no Skywalkers, the disco in Explorers is just not the same.

The Sabatini breakfast perk for Suite passengers started this week, but I'm not sure you get it in Mini-suite's as well.

    Any questions just ask.

    Cheers
