  1. Wash hands.

    Don't touch face.

Don't cruise if you're scared, wait for a vaccine for Covid-19, drowning, Noro, heart attacks, etc.

What did the cruise Industry implement during H1N1 and SARS?

Not scared, and I’m hygienic. Thanks.

I personally just like a smoke free casino. And it would def cut down on the transmission of illness, covid or otherwise...people would not be blowing their smoke around (it’s akin to coughing and sneezing).

  2. I wish they would ban smoking, but how would that help in preventing the spread of Covid-19?

Because when people blow out their smoke it is akin to sneezing or coughing. They are spreading saliva particles etc.

I just love a smoke free casino. We have one in Biloxi we go to just because it’s smoke free. It’s great.

  3. Has anyone give any given thought to or has any information about any changes coming to the casinos.

I would think they need to go smoke free for the foreseeable future. Info at the moment says covid is most transmittable through droplets (i.e. saliva or sneezing).

I really like a smoke free casino anyway but seems that would make sense for the cruise and add a mask. 😣

  4. Is there a place online where you can see what the expected occupancy is for your sailing on Royal?  I was just curious to know and then be able to watch the numbers regarding how many may be canceling due to the COVID-19.

We don't sail until May to Alaska but with all this hoopla, I'm afraid the cruise ships are going to cancel sailings themselves.

    TIA!

  5. Considering that TS, possibly hurricane, Matthew is predicted to be still well in the Caribbean on Sat, Oct 1, I doubt you'll have any problems. Matthew isn't projected to be turning north till maybe zero Sat/Sun, with it maybe hitting Jamaica and environs by Monday. So yeah - nowhere near the Regal on Sat..

If - and it's a big IF - Matthew survives all of its possible projections, it will take at least a week or more to get up to the east coast....

Very true...I guess with it being hurricane season it just made me wonder the "what ifs"...

  6. Concerned about a tropical storm (97L) that may track up the east coast. Our local meteorologists say it has a good chance of developing into a hurricane and be up the east coast by the 7th. Our cruise is on the 12th.

God forbid that the east coast be hit by such a storm. That being said, if ports or cities were damaged, what happens? Is the cruise completely cancelled or do they skip the ports that are affected (making it a sea day) and continue to ports that were not affected?

    Thanks for any input!

  7. The Canned Soda Package, $11.50 for six cans with gratuity, is included as an option with all other beverage packages on the website. That is a savings of $0.38 per can or about 17%. It is "easy" to find the packages if you have been there before and know where to go. For "newbies," not so easy [emoji848]

Unless I'm just not making myself clear...

I "found" it online. My point is when you log in to your Cruise Personalizer/Onboard Reservations...it is not available to select. All the other packages are there, just not the Canned Soda Package. We had to call to get it ordered ahead of time.

  8. You're definitely right that its on the link that you provided, but when you go into your Cruise Personalizer/Onboard Reservations...you can't select it anywhere. It's not listed as an option.

Everything else is there (Coffee cards, Beer packages, water packages etc.),

just not the Can Drink Packages.

You will have to call to purchase them.

  9. I learned something new today! I thought that if you wanted sodas for your fridge etc (aside from the soda packages) you would have to bring them on the ship with you.

    long story short...

While on the phone with Princess buying our drink packages yesterday, we learned that you can buy 6-packs of sodas through Princess. It is $10 per 6-pack. Not exactly cheap but I don't mind paying for the convenience.

I do think they should put that on the website so that you can purchase them easily though...as it is now you have to call to be able to order it.

Sometimes you just aren't in the mood to meander all over the ship for something to drink. :p:cool:

  10. We are booked for Alaska round trip from Seattle this September. I am a bit confused about the Victoria port stop. It is for only 5 hrs (7pm-Midnight).

Anyone have experience with this? I assume that they only port there because the have to? Is it normally dark in Victoria starting around 7pm? I am having a hard time wrapping my head around sight seeing in the dark.

    Thanks in Advance!
