We have made our Pinnacle Grill lunch reservations, upgraded to the Elite Beverage Package, watched the safety video, and checked in at the muster station.

We're in cabana land, waiting on lunch from NY Pizza and Deli. Also Mai Tais from the Crow's Nest.

    Talk about a full day!

Thanks for taking us along on your cruise.

I hoping you can answer a question concerning upgrading to the Elite Beverage package. Can you get water with a screw top covered by the package?

I think right now this would benefit mainly just a couple of different groups:  those who did see a doctor for covid just because they felt they needed to or needed to for work or something (and then may be able to get their doctor to sign off on recovery) and people who have a cruise booked already so that if they suspect covid they can already have it in mind to visit their doctor.

You need proof of a positive COVID test during the appropriate window of time <90 Days >10 days  and the Healthcare provider stating when you had COVID and you are cleared travel.

Documentation of Recovery consists of the following:

Paper or electronic copies of the positive viral test result from a certified laboratory (dated no more than 90 days ago), and
A signed letter, on official letterhead that contains the name, address, and phone number of a licensed healthcare provider or public health official, stating that the individual has been cleared to end isolation, is at least 10 days past their positive test result date, and can travel. The letter should include the date of the positive test and patient identifiers such as name and date of birth that match the passport or other travel documents.
Guests who present these documents will need to go through secondary screening at the terminal and boarding will be approved at the medical staff’s discretion.

If guests are not able to obtain documentation of recovery that fulfills the above requirements, they will need to take the required COVID-19 viral test and show a negative result.

What changes to the YC are you referring to?

All of the changes mentioned in this thread. But what I find more disturbing is the inconsistencies  I like to know is included when I go on a cruise and at this point I have no idea what that is for YC. Choices are great but after reading this thread I no longer think MSC is a good one for me.

  4. I wonder how many people like me were planning on trying MSC for the first time because of the inclusiveness of the YC but are now cancelling because of the changes.

If it wasn't for these message boards I would have been very disappointed not to get all that was promised.

Our cruise was in November.  Who has ever heard of something like this?  It seems to be deceptive.

Vicki I want to thank you for sharing your experience to help the rest of us avoid it. This is the type of information that makes cruise critic valuable.

Oh, please, you really couldn't figure out from my post that I was joking about my wife's taste in food?

Oh, how I hate this politically correct culture of the left.  :classic_dry:

I don't think it has anything to do with politically correct culture just correct. Words (still) matter.

Indulge in our Premium Beverage Package

and more. With a Classic or Premium
beverage package, you can sample any
brand we serve and pay only the difference"

Go to your cruise planner, click on Beverage packages and experiences, click on classic. Once on that page, under overview, you will see classic package highlighted in blue, click on that and it brings up a brochure.

    Thank you.

So it drinks are over $9 you can pay the difference?

I know in the past you were able to pay the difference if a drink was above the limit but I am unable to find that on Celebrity's website. Can anyone provide a link?

    Thanks

  9. Interesting.......which terminal or is it all terminals? Only have 1 cruise with Carnival 1983(honeymoon)...a Caribbean Cruise, at that time there were no terminals to sit in or early boarding, of course ships were smaller.....they flew us on a red eye into MIA frm LAX and put us up in a day room until it was time to board.

I think Carnival implemented "staggered check in" for all their ships. It can be a problem for people who fly to port and stay overnight in a hotel if they don't rent a car because check out from the hotel can be earlier than the cruise assigned check in / boarding time. I've only sailed Carnival out of Port Canaveral which we drive to, even so we purchased Faster to the Fun in order to get into our room upon boarding.

    Princess already states :

"Prioritycheck-in will be available to guests with a Preferred Boarding Pass within theallocated check-in times. "

So even if they start enforcing check-in times - Priority boarding might not mean first in line to get to check in just first in line at the assigned time.

  10. I'm on right now, it's working fine for me. However, I don't like that it's only one device. I haven't tried to use my account info on a 2nd device, but it implies it's unlimited for one device per person. Would like to use it on my laptop and phone. You could with the logged in minutes plan. Like the unlimited, but that seems restrictive.

You can only log on with ONE DEVICE AT A TIME. Close out your IPad, open your phone. It works that way.[/quote]

Please report back if this works. I don't want to carry more electronics on my upcoming cruise than I'll be able to use.

    Thank you.

  11. Princess was doing this on our recent Nov. Mexican Riviera cruise.......Priority groups were categorized it was either numbers or letters I can't remember.......but were called as Priority A,B, C etc....and they were letting no one through early than their card showed..it was like boarding at the airport. They kept on making announcement to wait until your priority letter or number was called. It was a zoo.....

Carnival doesn't let you in the terminal building before your boarding time.

  12. We are on this cruise as well. The internet is super fast and complimentary unlimited for platinim and elites is certainly a great perk even if it is just for this cruise. Enjoy the Regal. We have sailed on her before and enjoyed the cruises immensely.

Sent from my SM-G930P using Forums mobile app

Question concerning the new "MedallionNet" complimentary internet for platinum and elites on the Regal :

Is it 1 device or 1 device at a time? If I sign in on my tablet will I be able to sign out and use my phone?

I know on other ships without the new network I was able to use both my phone and tablet at different times but I'm not sure if the new network tracks your Mac address and prevents this.

  13. Yes. I received a very nice follow-up phone call from a Princess representative after sending email to that address.

I have found that they have been calling me as well. I emailed prior to my cruise with a minor question and I even received a phone call about that!

Thanks for the response. I haven't received any phone calls but my phone was out of service for a few days. I'm really hoping to get a written response but I guess they don't do that.

  14. I the OP doesn't mind if I add on a question.

Does anyone know what happens if you prepay items before the cruise and end up having to cancel during the penalty period? I was looking that the passage contract and the cancellation chart footnote has me concerned

    item(s)* Assessed

Items: Cruise, Cruisetour, Cruise Plus Package, pre-purchased gift(s)/special services.

Are this items considered pre-purchased gifts(s)? Since I didn't cover them on my trip insurance amount I'm hesitate to prepay for anything.

  15. On Royal in November I was refused small bottles of sparkling water in both the HC (several different attempts) and the MDR. Had no problem obtaining them in Crooner's or Wheelhouse; in fact in Crooner's anyone with the PBP could be served an additional bottled water at the same time they got their next adult beverage.

This is very disappointing for the price Princess charges for the beverage package. Even though I rarely, (if ever) go to guest services to complain about anything, if we get the package and are refused bottled water in the dining areas I think I will.
