I kind of thought that. What schools have a fall break in October? We are from Florida and usually when we sail in October there are no children.....Well we booked a Havana Cabana so no one under 18 allowed. LOL
My kids have fall break that week (indiana), we’re doing the Celebration. I booked a room for 3 of us in march and waited to see if I got a casino offer for the 2 person room and it was gone for weeks. It popped up a few weeks ago and booked a guaranteed room for more than I paid for the 3 person room.

We did the sunrise in Oct 22 and summit in nov 22. No contest summit! We did not care for the sunrise at all. Better food, entertainment and service on the summit.

I booked a guaranteed interior for the 1/15 Celebration and still don’t have a room assignment. I keep checking a few times a day.

Mine said it was a last minute casino offer. I booked the celebration 1/15 for 50 pp with 100 obc. I’ve just noticed these the last month. They were always showing not available when I tried to book, but got lucky thurs night about 11 pm est. I already had southwest flights booked for that week and just wasn’t sure which cruise we were going to take so this worked out great. My advice is keep checking and you might be able to snag one.

For me the Mardi Gras is so massive I wouldn’t want to be in the front of the ship and that would discourage me form booking a guarantee on it. I hope you get a good assignment. You’ll love the MG. We sailed on it in January and are going again in June,

I don't have any pictures but my son (7) and i did the mardi gras 1/15. They were open most days 9-12 and 7-10. The other times were kind of hit and miss. There was usually a kids choice, games, science, and art activity during each block.

Another vote for the Horizon, my son and i are doing the same ship in June, we love that itinerary.

I agree. We were on the Mardi Gras 1/15. The ship is beautiful, the food was excellent, sans a couple of meals in the main dining room which were just ok.

My son and I are in the 1/15 MG too. I think we’re going to go ahead and go, mostly because I got a 110 pp casino rate. We’ll spend most of our time outside anyway, he’s 8. I wish there was a way to know what the capacity will be. It’d be a much easier decision if I know it was at say 50 percent capacity. I think if they want to keep sailing they’re going to need to take capacities down temporarily.
Please update if you call and see what the options are.

I was on the summit 10/30 with a comp cabin and received the extra points for go green. My room was cleaned in the morning and turned down at night. We definitely didn’t need anymore cleaning.

We sailed 7/24 with a 7 and 9 year old. It was a nasal swab, mine didn’t mind it at all.

Yay! I’m so happy for those with kids under 12 that haven’t already canceled, gives me hope they’ll do the same for The Horizon. It’ll be interesting to see what the mask requirements for kids will be.

We’re booked on the 7/24 horizon. Airfare is booked with points on southwest, no loss if it gets canceled. I can get my points and taxes back up to day of. I wouldn’t feel confident to book right now with another airline.

We just L&S'ed our Feb 2021 5 day Infinity cruise to a Jan 2022 5 day Infinity cruise. Then yesterday we got the infamous Infinity to Summit transfer email. We contacted our X PCC and he initially said there were no Summit itineraries currently listed in the Jan/Feb 2022 time frame and that we should make our booking a "place holder" to keep the $200 OBC cancellation prize added to the booking intact. We later reread the email and in paragraph 2 it stated:
"Specific to your future Celebrity Infinity® sailing, these deployment adjustments will require a change of ship for your Caribbean voyage to the fully revolutionized Celebrity Summit®. We are pleased to advise your departure date, itinerary and stateroom category will remain exactly the same. No action needs to be taken on your part as our Customer Service Teams are working to automatically move your reservation to the Celebrity Summit. Once the process is complete you will receive a refreshed booking invoice via email with your new stateroom number. We anticipate it will take us a few weeks to complete all the transactions."
So we then requested our X PCC to keep our exiting Infinity booking intact, to include the great deal we got, to give the X planning folks the time they specifically noted to finalized the new Summit Jan/Feb Caribbean schedule and complete the transfer. It may be just wishful thinking, but we can't see a downside to waiting a couple of weeks to see what happens.
Would you mind sharing which 01/22 Infinity sailing? I'm on the 1/8/22 and got the email it was canceled and to rebook at prevailing rates. I really hope the Summit is an option at the rate I have booked.

So who is getting this? I saw some were gold. How about platinum? Left message with my pop. We will see. Fingers crossed.
I’m red (13 points) and received it. I didn’t get an email but it’s under my offers in my account.

We cruised on the Royal in December and the kids menu was the same as in this thread I believe. My kids were a little disappointed it was the same menu all 10 nights of the cruise.

We received them in our cabin for the 12/30 royal cruise. We never used them though.

On the Royal 12/30, we booked a inside guarantee and received a balcony.

Thanks for taking the time to post such a detailed review.

Thanks for your review, we're going on the regal next Christmas.

Enjoyed your review, thanks for sharing.

Thanks for posting. I just booked 2 obstructed balconies on the regal emerald deck for our thanksgiving cruise next year and they seem like a great bargain. I think we're in e229 and e230.
