We’re booked on 14 day Alaska cruise and I noticed that quite a few shore excursions in Anchorage are labeled ‘intransit’. The cruise does not start or end at this port so I wonder if a more experienced cruiser can tell me what this means. I found nothing online.

I have lived in San Diego for the past 40 years. Typical temperature in Feb is upper 50’s, occasionally lower 60’s. Often overcast, sometimes rain. Warmer days are the exception not the norm.

The cancellations are for multiple cruises so the too many ships answer appears to be questionable.

We're on the Dec 22 Miami to LA on Regatta and were also notified that San Diego is cancelled. I would like to know why. We were given permission to disembark in SD (where we live), but now we have a sea day and disembarkation in LA at 8:00. Now an extra expense to get home from LA port.

Getting a table for two in the main dining room has never been a problem. They have plenty of two tops. It IS easier to get specialty restaurant reservations for shared tables. Note too that you are likely to find your table mates to be wonderful, gracious people on O.

Agreed, the cooking classes are entertainment, nothing more.

We were offered upgrade from window cabin to penthouse suite on a longer cruise. We said yes immediately.

PH suites on Marina feature "entertainment system with media library". Can anyone provide info on the media library? Do we have to borrow discs, pick from an on screen menu?

The lobster fra Diavolo isn't very good. The veal chop is good as is the gnocchi. Bread in all venues is excellent. Don't miss the homemade ice cream. Food in the GDR is generally excellent.

Thanks all. We do like to dress up in the evenings, but during the daytime I want to be comfortable. I hate the idea of arriving on the boat with a bunch of clothes I won't be able to wear.

I'm wondering if jeans, sneakers and a polo shirt are appropriate during the day. Some posters seem to indicate that jeans/sneakers are never appropriate attire on the ship (Insignia ).
