Ahoy Fun Folks!  

My husband and I are so excited about joining you all on the Nieuw Statendam next Wednesday in Ft.L.  We will be celebrating our 30th Anniversary as husband and wife, so we will be ready to party!  We haven't been to Nassau since 1980 when we sailed there on our sailboat. All I remember doing back then was drinking at the Poop Deck and going to the straw Market.  It was just too hectic after being on a slow moving sailboat for 2 weeks!    Fast forward to now, we don't have the time or interest in doing that anymore!  That is sailing long distances on our boat.  So we have found the joy of Cruise ship sailing!!  My husband doesn't have to navigate, put out fires, unstop the toilet and be wet and miserable all night long while on watch!  Hey, you get smarter as you get older!    Getting back to Nassau....does anyone have a suggestion on what to do ashore??    We thought about going to the Cloisters and maybe the Rum Distillery and maybe going back to the Poop Deck for old times sake! Open for suggestions.... Also would like to join in on the Cruise Critic Meet and Mingle.

I am also looking to that the train from Anchorage to Seward on the CELEBRITY TRAIN CAR, but the agents at Celebrity do not have any info on it! :rolleyes: Has anyone taken a CELEBRITY train car to Seward? Does such thing exist or are we just hoping for one? I’m under the impression that once on the train, they will deliver your luggage from the train to the ship...? Any knowledge of this train car would be most appreciated. ;)Thanks!
