How long does it take to get declined??  I placed a couple of bids over a week a go. Our cruise is April 9th

The people in the Garden Villas are not upgrading anywhere.  I think sometimes they do it simply to gauge how much someone will spend on a room.

Question:  I keep receiving the email to bid. Well I finally did place a bid but when I went to look on the website, all the cabins i bid on were sold out. Why do they allow you to bid if cabins are not available?  We sail in 17 days.

Thank you..  Honestly didn't think that happened on Haven cabins. 

Looking for info on the small and large cabanas.   What is included?  Is it worth it?

FYI just checked NCL site and my Thanksgiving day Haven H5 cabin is down $400!!!  I called and they adjusted it.. Just wanted to let others know so you can check and see.

Tip: give yourself plenty of time. They make it table side which allows you to really customize based on your preferences (go easy on the jalapeno, etc.), but the downside is that there are 1-3 carts to accommodate all the orders. We thought we would squeeze it in as an appetizer before our dinner at cagneys one night, and we were late to dinner. It took an hour to order, get the guacamole, eat and close out. 

 

Also, make your go-cart/laser tag reservations early on in the cruise. The crowds with unlimited passes beat us to the punch and we ended up with a 7pm go-cart reservation on the last night of the cruise. We thought we would get right on when the ship was empty/at port, but it turns out the track isn't open until way later. That was disappointing for us. 

 

One other thing - do your best eating before you do the "ocean loops" water slide that goes out over the water. More often than not, people weren't heavy enough to make it to the end. 1-2 guacamoles at Los Lobos and 2-3 hot chocolates at Cocos should do the trick.

If I booked through a TA, how does the bidding process work? Will they contact her or will it still show up on my NCL

I tried but can't find the answer to this. Since I cruised last I see that NCL now charges for room service. Does this still apply if you are in the Haven Spa cabin? Thanks in advance..

Finally got the official email from the NCL tech dept about bidding. It is as we suspected-excluded from participation-not a tech issue.

$100 of shipboard credit each. That's the reason I spent eighteen months going back and forth with their customer service department about.

Wow we were on RCL to Bermuda a few years ago for a 5 night cruise. Well there was a terrible hurricane and we had to go to St. John in Canada instead. As you could imagine we were upset but needed to be kept safe. We were notified the night before via automated phone call. I unpacked all my bathing suits and packed heavy clothing.

RCL left a note on our bed giving us an $800 refund . They based the refund by your cabin. I think inside got $500 or something like that. Anyway I thought that was very nice as they have nothing to do with the crazy weather.

BTW we just got off the Anthem of the Seas to Bermuda this Thursday. We really lucked out and had beautiful weather.

Does anyone know how much the cost is per day? We have a five night cruise coming up. Thanks in advance

I think since deposits are so cheap, people reserve far in advance even if they aren't sure they will really go.

Thanks everyone for taking the time to share your experiences of these shows. I will not do the gift as I know for sure my dh would not like it. However, I will try the other two. Worse case scenario we leave if it is that bad.

We thought it was wonderful, but we had to see it twice before we fully understood it. You really have to pay attention during the first 5 minutes to understand what is going on and to be able to follow the plot.

 

It's about a widower and his 2 children who are overwhelmed by grief over the death of the wife/mother. The widower copes by getting drunk, and the children are also involved in self-destructive behavior. So, the woman tries to communicate with them from heaven and guide them into enjoying life again. It is sad and I cried at the end, but I really loved it!

Okay thank you. I think we will pass on this one. My dh is not a big show guy to begin with and this may set him over the edge. lol I will stick to Spectra an We will rock you.

I was speaking to one of the dancers who used to do this show when it first came out and even she didn't know what it was about! She did say it has been changed and evolved since then.

When I saw it on Anthem last year, I fell asleep in the performance, it wasn't my cup of tea.

 

Spectra's cabaret and We Will Rock You are very entertaining and well worth making reservations to go to them.

 

Kevin Kennedy (Curly Watts from Coronation Street) was in the Gift and We Will Rock You when we saw them.

Hi, how does the tipping work for your Genie? I have never stayed in a suite on RCL. I understand it is based on how much they do for you BUT what would an average tip be? Also, when do you tip?

Also, if anybody has any other tips about the Genie service, please let me know.
