On Liberty last year we used MTD and before we mad reservations for a specific waiter, we were given a pager. Didn’t have to wait long for our table.
-
I look forward to Capt. James being on Liberty in November because he is so easy to understand to my English ears!

Probably less than 10
I’d rather not get Voom - don’t need to email, or call or stream. Just want to text friends onboard but people back home would be good.
-
I’m almost embarrassed to ask this, but I’ve read all the threads on this subject and still don’t understand. What do I need just to text someone onboard?

I favor a balcony. You can always go up, but if we didn’t have a starboard balcony one night after putting on jammies, we would never have seen the Aurora borealis when it made a brief appearance. But most important, don’t miss the float plane over five glaciers to Taku lodge for a fresh caught grilled salmon meal. Unbelievable!

DOes anyone know where chefs table is on the Liberty?
-
Tnx all. Why is the info so hard to find? Why doesn’t RCI want you to know anything about facilities they can’t charge for? Uh, sorry. Dumb question!
-
I’ve searched the RCL site, for what that’s worth, and all these boards and I can’t find info about the solarium. Is there a charge? Is there one on Liberty? What does it offer? If anyone can direct me to the Info I’d appreciate it.

OFF the wall question...and I hope it never happens...if I contract noro and am confined to my room, do I still have to pay for room service?
-
So how ‘bout the coffee card? It says the specialty coffees are “espresso” based. I’ve never heard of decaf espresso. I too need to cut caffeine consumption but really like an after dinner coffee. I even have to fool myself with half caf in the morning.

Re: chocolates on pillow. Once my DH and I left our ‘tween daughter in our hotel room while we went out. Returned and she thought she was in trouble because someone kept knocking and saying, “Turn down.” She said she had the TV so low she had to sit next to it to hear. She was really upset the next night when she learned turn down meant chocolates and a rose on her pillow,

I worked with my carrier, Sprint, and learned I have unlimited data with int’l roaming! So we are good to go!

I recall the last time I was on Liberty about 2 years ago, there was an ap that allowed us to text each other without the RC internet service. Is it still available or is the only way to communicate with another cruiser to purchase Voom for two devices. And don’t chastise me if this has been asked...I’ve looked everywhere, on CC as well as the RCI site. :D

Another activity by the pier is the Ocean Star Offshore drilling museum.
I second the Ocean Star! I went with my husband on a business trip and we found ourselves with a couple of hours to kill so we dropped in at the OS. It was fascinating and I learned so much!

Hey, don’t knock Texas liquor laws. We want the taxes...that’s why we have some of the lowest tax rates in the country! And com’on, you can slum it with cheap booze and beer for a couple of hours...you got a whole week for the good stuff. And as to the 12 noon Sunday limit to buy alcohol, that’s so everybody can sober up from Saturday night and get their buns in church!:')

We let the photogs take any they want except the cheesy posed ones with props, but have bought only one. On our Alaskan cruise a photo of my daughter at dinner on a formal night is the best portrait-quality picture of her I have ever seen, at least since she was in first grade 35 years ago! Yes I forked over my card for it!

What is the current scoop on bringing water on board? The Evian pkg they sell is for liter bottles and I don't like being saddled with a big bottle. I always carry water with me.

It was a definite highlight of our cruise, succeeded only by thi aurora. Our only problem was finding space to pack that huge, luxurious robe! We were on the Ruby in sept. And the commodore was clearly proud of his ship. We were even late getting to our other stops despite our guide trying to hustle us off the bridge while the commodore kept saying he wanted to show us just one more thing...and then one more thing. Worth every penny we spent!

I'm all in favor of anything that will help prevent the spread of disease on a cruise ship or anywhere else. While living in a hospital - one of the "dirtiest" places on earth - for a month while my husband was awaiting a heart transplant, I learned many ways to avoid touching things others may have touched, like pressing elevator buttons with a knuckle on my non-dominant hand and using my elbow rather than hand on stair railings and escalators. All habits I still employ. And I have almost broken myself of touching my hair and face! Unfortunately not all people are so conscientious. Being sick is no fun when there are places to go and things to do.

Wonderful cabin. Quiet and easy accessibility. Laundry room 2 doors down and across hall, never noisy. Some minor rust on upper balcony fixtures such as light but noticeable only if you go looking. Well behaved shower curtain that never caused a problem. Would definitely book again. - click on “Quote” at the bottom right of this page

Its not called the sanctuary pool and its not part of the sanctuary and yes all pools are free on all Princess ships.
So what's it called and where is it? And how about the saunas? Free or charges?
-
Is the sanctuary pool and sauna free on the Ruby?

Complicating the "kid" problem are the parents who buy them the "ultimate kids package" and don't monitor how much Coke the little darlings are chugging! An overload of caffeine and sugar would have a Type B adult bouncing off the walls.

If you look at the pic it is actually Seattle. Somebody just failed to change the text. In addition to the bridge cam, you can check position at marine traffic.com. Be warned that the website is not easy to navigate.
