My preference is first day at sea midmorning Meet & Mingles /Meet & Greets. What do you all say?

Was on the Carnival Glory week of 23 April 16. Over 100 signed up for the Carnival sponsored Meet and Mingle - about 10 showed up. The Meet and Mingle was posted in the FunTimes and held midweek. Carnival provided the Ivory Club as the venue. In attendance was some heavy hitters: Hotel Director, Cruise Director, Entertainment Director, Beverage Manager as well as several other officers. Comp Wine and Fruit Punch was served along with a few snacks. Carnival provided plenty of wait staff to serve the guest. Glory Crew did a great job. Smooth sailing , Scuttle

If you are looking for a quiet beach with beautiful soft sand may I recommend Governor's Beach. Check it out on Trip Advisor. Governor's Beach is about a 15 minute walk from the dock. Go straight out the gate and turn left. Walk along the road and you will see signs directing you to the beach. My wife and I along with another couple were the only ones on the beach. A couple of local amicable fellows maintain the area. The draw back is that there are no lounges or refreshments available. Showers and toilet facilities are available

They have a 5 star rating on Trip Advisor. We have them booked for next visit. We did a tour through the ship once and were not impressed - very crowded.

I have not seen a reversal on my credit card either. Sometimes it takes a while. The law in the state (Massachusetts ) where I live is that if you make a mistake in pricing you eat it.

Not sure if the state law applies to Internet Sales or not.

O well it sure was worth a try to get the water at the nice low price. If not back to tap water with ice.

Yes. Thanks for the heads up on this. I bought 2. 12 packs for each ship I have booked. One is not until next April. It is only really a few bucks in savings but why do I feel like I just saved hundreds off my cruise rate?

Just to add a bit to what rotary mike said. Walk off the ship head out toward the exit. There will be people there directing you to the taxi stand and the next in line van heading to megans beach. It will cost 8 dollars per person one way. four dollars per person to get into the beach. There will be plenty of of vans to take you back to town. No need to make an arrangement with a specific driver. Plenty of vans leaving from town to return to the ship. I believe that is 3 or 4 dollars per person. My wife and I did this when we were there and it worked out great. do not worry. You will be fine.

Call a cruise rep at the 800 number. You may be able to work something out.
