I got my email too for this cruise. I would be curious to know if the previous cruise(s) returning from Belize on the Conquest received the same thing and what the outcome was.

Just read on another thread that the Carnival ship leaving 1-4 is also going to be a late embarkation. Seem odd 2 ships in 2 days????

Wow, I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but the Conquest doesn't have a Cloud 9 Spa. There is a deck called the Spa Deck (since the spa is on that deck), but there are no amenities like you would find on the ships with a Cloud 9 Spa. It's a nice location, but all you'll get is the location. I should have realized this when I read your initial post, since all spa balconies are 8S cabins (not 8F).

I called Carnival and they insisted I had bought the spa package. after 40 minutes o n the phone and on hold, They admitted that Conquest did not have the spa package. I told them I wanted my old room back, but they said it was not available and offered me an 8B instead of the 8A but wanted to charge me for that upgrade. I finally got in touch with a supervisor and was booked into an 8B and was refunded the 150 that I paid for the first upgrade, Thanks for all the information I appreciate all comments.

ps: still going to miss the spa that ain't on my ship

On Sunday, our debarking guests will be going through additional document screening measures implemented by Customs and Border Protection for cruises returning from Belize. Additionally, following the completion of the debarkation process, we will be conducting routine maintenance tests aboard the Carnival Conquest.

 

As a result, check-in for your cruise is now scheduled from 2:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m., and we will set sail shortly thereafter. For your comfort and convenience, since seating is limited at our cruise terminal, please do not arrive for check-in prior to 2:00 p.m.

I know they have been trying to get people to show up later, but the email has been more generic. This seems pretty specific.

 

I checked and it does in fact stop at Belize.

 

Thoughts?

 

I'm thinking we'll show up around 11:00, and roll with the punches. We are plat so hopefully get seats.

 

The Belize warning is interesting though - very specific to this trip. What's up with that?

I can't understand why, if they are concerned with Belize , Then why can't they check the docs at that port which is on day 5. they would have 2 more days to straighten out any problems before reaching Miami, Please don't mess with my embarkation time.:mad::mad:

We just got an e-mail (http://ebm.cheetahmail.com/c/tag/hBSweznB8rLb0B83cB-NtUJabZa/doc.html) that our departure is being delayed for various reasons. It means we're stuck at the hotel past check-out and have to take cabs instead of the scheduled port shuttle. I was wondering if anyone has gotten that message before on their Carnival cruise, and if so what time they recommend arriving.

We too are sailing on the Conquest Jan 5, but we have not received any notice yet. thanks for posting. Won't be a big deal for us as DW's uncle will drop us off when the time comes. :confused:

If you don't want to read this lengthy review, just watch the videos that I posted. They'll show you everything that you'll get. Your cabin will be very different than the one in this review though. It will be much smaller, but will have a balcony.

Thanks so much for the info on the spas. I booked 1110 on the Conquest, so I think the layout is a little different, but WOW my DW is going to just go crazy when she sees it. (Just upgraded from aft balcony on deck 6

I just upgraded from 8 A balcony to an 8 F SPA balcony. for the upcoming curise in 6 days. The guest relations person at Carnival told me a bunch of reasons for booking the spa balcony, but I forgot them about as fast as she told me what they were Could anyone out there please tell me exactly what I bought in the upgrade. ie What all does the spa package include. I mainly got the spa cabin because our 5 year old son will spend most of his free time just 1 floor up on Deck 12.

I think she will do just fine. It's one on one with a certified diver. A good diver will adjust the floatation for her and stay with her the entire dive. GO FOR IT.

With the onboard stabilizers I doubt very much if you ever feel the ships motion Only in very rough seas did I ever feel any noticeable motion and it was at the very front of the ship 10 th level while in bed trying to sleep.
