  1. I guess I should also add that there are lounge chairs and non lounge type chairs next to each umbrella. The lunch area in Serenity Bay (adult only area) was shady, pleasant and well maintained as far as cleanliness at the tables and food lines goes. Very nice experience.

  2. First Disney Cruise coming up fast. Hooray! Just have a couple of questions about Castaway Cay.

Is there ever more then one ship at a time docked there? Is a ship key card all we need to rent Disney equipment (ie bicycles)? Thanks in advance for any information!

  3. When we cruised to Malaga we had a wonderful day in the city itself. It was very sunny but cool in the morning and warm in the afternoon. We got off the ship as soon as possible and headed straight for a cab (they were parked right next to the ship terminal). We told the driver we wanted to go to Gilbrafaro and he took us right to the top. We used the machines to buy admission to the citadel and the palace (credit card) and spent some lovely and uncrowded time walking along the walls of the citadel admiring the lovely views of the city and sea. There is also a small military museum up there. As the tour buses started rolling in we started making our way downhill on foot. Next stop was the palace with its lovely gardens and fountains. Then on into the city where we stopped to look at the ruins of the old Roman theater. Next we stopped at the Picasso museum, where we spent an hour or so. We visited the Cathedral, stopped for Gelato, all the while heading back towards the port. We visited some nice gift shops and ended up at the waterfront marina where everyone was enjoying the lovely day at the outdoor cafes. We stopped for a late lunch of paella, checked out some of the waterfront shops and walked back toward the ship (there was a little shuttle running from the ship to the entrance of this waterfront area). Near the ship was a beach and we took a walk along the ocean before calling it a day. We thought it was a lovely way to spend the day in Malaga!

  4. Can you tell me if the Pride of America has a restaurant that has chicken wings? The Cadillac diner looks very similar to the Blue Lagoon on other ships we were on and they had the chicken wings. Close to a year before saling..getting excited!!

We had chicken wings at the Cadillac diner when we were on the POA last December.

  5. Walk all the way forward on deck eleven to go in the Bridge viewing room. The Spinnaker Lounge is a nice place to hang out with its big windows and green and purple loungers for two. Also be on the lookout for the Dixie Land Jazz Jam in the atrium one night. They set up folding chairs since it was so popular, but we ran up the stairs to the Blue Lagoon and got a table at the railing to look down and listen while enjoying dessert. (Ok, second dessert!). :)

  6. We had a rental car on embarkation day and drove into the pier area. We were stopped by security and said we were unloading passengers and luggage. We were allowed in to an unloading area, dropped off our grown kids and all the luggage and then drove out to return the rental car.

  7. I am also planning my first Disney cruise and typed Disney cruise tips into my search engine. You will be able to read so much your head will spin! Fish extenders? Dining rotations? Pirate parties? Mickey ice cream bars? Who knew? Lol :D
