I have cruise booked April 2016 on Getaway. I used my Amex Plat which gives each cabin free dinner Le Bistro. Anyone know if I can book and reserve Le Bistro online to reserve dinner times or do I need to wait until I get onboard?

 

I prefer not to go to Le Bistro unless it is truly comped by Amex! :)

I used the AMEX platinum benefits recently on the Breakaway. Once we boarded there was an envelope in our room with two passes for Le Bistro. We had no problem finding a good time to book and eat in the restaurant. Please note, if you have a SDP, the benefit is totally separate from the SDP, meaning, you are essentially getting a meal in one of the specialty restaurants, separate from your package.

The clam shell for two is 30 dollars and there is a bar near the lagoon.

We were there last week and soon as we boarded the BA, I went straight to the Shorex desk(first one!) and booked a clam shell on the lagoon side. By purchasing the clam shell, we were entitled to priority tendering and we were able to get on the first tender. Here is a tip, if you don't have an excursion booked on the island, you have to reserve a tender time. However, with the purchase of the clam shell you get priority so you don't have to reserve a time, just head to the Spiegel Tent for early boarding. When we were there last week, I drove my husband crazy as we both tried to reserve a tender on the iTV and couldn't find it! We called the steward and he informed us that we didn't need to since we had priority and the clam shell ticket was our priority ticket. That's my tip, you won't have to reserve a tender. Enjoy!
