I just got off of the Oasis on Saturday and rode the rising tide bar between decks 5 and 8 many times.

How was the weather? Water temps?

Thanks for the quick replies! I really appreciate the advice and the $5 & $10 guidelines.

I asked specifically in the port of call boards but didn't receive any feedback.
When you go on an excursion is it customary to tip?
Any input would be appreciated.

I have booked a private tour for my family with Bernard's. The price of the tour is $360. Do we tip the driver and how much?
Thanks!

Does anyone have any info to share on what did and did not fit with regard to luggage under the bed on the Oasis?

What should you use for minors when reboarding the ship in other ports? It says to take your sea pass and photo id like your drivers license. Do people carry kids passports while in port for this reason?

I booked the 10:40! Thanks for the words of encouragement. Lets hope it all works out.

What do i need to know about self - disembarkment?

I have read threads about catching early flight out of Fort Lauderdale. Is a 10:40 flight on a Saturday too aggressive when getting off the Oasis? The 12:00 flight is more expensive.
Thanks,

Loving your review! I will be sailing with my 12 & 15 year old children in February. Did you DD go to the teen club? How did she like it? What was her favorite part? How did you communicate on board?
Your tips would be appreciated!

I am sailing on the Oasis in February and have not been able to book flowrider lessons online. The option is not available and I have been wondering what has been happening. When I first booked the cruise the option was there and I reviewed the times. Now its not even an option??

Thanks for the encouragement! I called Royal back and I was able to get 8551 and 8553. I feel so much better about my inside cabin now. My dd is directionally challenged and I think this will make it much easier for her to find our room. She can use landmarks in Central park instead of a long corridor where everything looks the same.
Does anyone know if the door to the room is on the same corridor as the balcony rooms or if it is the inside corridor? Does that make sense?

I currently have inside, category L, connecting cabins booked on deck 11. I would love a balcony but unless the price comes down this is the most I can afford. I booked these cabins before I new about the wealth of knowledge available on cruise critic.
I have been reading about deck 8 and it sounds to me that this would be an ideal location. The cruise line sold me on deck 11 because of the public balcony but realistically it is in the back of the ship and we are forward. Rooms 8446 and 8448 are available but they are the first rooms after central park. I can't visualize the seperation between central park and the cabins. Does anyone have pictures? Will it be noisy? Any info would help.
This is our first cruise and I want to make it fabulous for my family!
Thanks,
Heather

Its the "adults" who get in the pool and are horrified when they get wet that really annoy me!

Awesome review!!! Tell me more about your kids and the flow riders. What was the height restriction for stand up? Do you think a lesson is necessary? How long did they have to wait for a turn? My kids are so excited to try this!

Just sailed on the Fury last week with my family of 4. We had a great time! Captain Mike and Nikki were both very professional. Please do your research before booking an excursion. You would have know that this tour had safety in mind. They don't serve alcohol before snorkeling for a reason! Mike and Nikki take your safety seriously.
I realize that you didn't have a good time and that's too bad. I just would like people to realize that you need to do your homework before choosing an excursion. If you are looking for a party find a party boat. I loved sailing with only a handful of people through the beautiful Caribbean waters. We saw tons of fish, turtles and stingrays!
