There should not be any long term repercussions for your friend though, Carnival knows people are not trying to cheat, they just don’t understand how credit card disputes work. Those that open disputes will move to the back of the refund line though as Carnival will not begin their refund process until the dispute is closed. 

I had waited for over a month and no refund.  I filed a complaint with my cc company and lo and behold I got a refund in two weeks.  I will never sail with carnival again.  They are the worst and going downhill.

I booked Carnival Magic 5/10/2016 solo, I went thru carnival to book. Total cost for a porthole cabin was only $503 including gratuities. 7 day eastern carib. Hard to beat. I always deal directly with carnival and now they call me when a good deal pops up.

Where is the best place to find solo cruises from Florida? I keep trying the cruise lines themselves with no luck. Would like to go first part of the year. From either Tampa or Canaveral.
