There are very few cocktails (3 at the World Bar) that are above the $15 limit on ships other than the Edge. Super top shelf liquors and some wines by the glass are above. However, I have never paid extra for a drink. Since we always get the Classic package as a perk, Regent.

The Classic package does have some call liquors. You simply need to decide what and how much you want to drink.

I have found that the well brands are often ones I have never heard of. But I have also found that even when (with the premium package) I ask for specific brands, I get the well. I ordered a Patron/Cointreau margarita since some tequilas give me huge headaches. One sip and I knew it wasn't right. Asked the waiter, who blushed and admitted that it was well tequila (not even Classic package level), so if you do have a package and you are picky, you might want to watch them make your drinks!

Celebrity makes its own ice cream and they have some great/less common flavors (guava, cinnamon,etc.). Many of these will be featured on the Main Dining Room dessert menu but they are also available for free at the starboard entrance to the Oceanview Cafe (buffet). If there was a flavor you liked at dinner, it will likely be at the buffet the next day! 

Also, the art collection is amazing- if you have some time to spare on a sea day, take a little tour. The Reflection doesn't have my favorite collection, but there are some really interesting (and expensive) pieces on display!

On the whole, I liked it but bugs like the menus were a pain. I'm a little sad it isn't available for our upcoming Silhouette sailing.

it’s ummm a work in progress.  Given the crack Celebrity IT staff, expect it to take a looooong time to achieve its potential.

This happened to us two or three times on the Reflection. Even more strangely, one person's app would have one menu and another person's would have another! It was easier just to check with the maitre d! 

I have never heard of having to wait but there are separate lines in the terminal for immigration: US and Non-US citizens. These lines can be quite long and the Non-US one is often very slow- make sure to have early tags (or even better, carry your luggage off) and consider using a porter (they seem to get through the lines quickly) and you should be fine.

Yes, we've unfortunately hit that closed-buffet-at-5 problem - it's usually right after we've gotten back on the ship, and before we sail away.  We've often skipped or had a light lunch and ready for a snack because dinner is late, exactly the point of my question.  We'll have to watch the hours carefully next time and make sure we get in before that.

We often go to afternoon trivia, which ends at 4/4:30. If it runs late, our team makes a mad dash to the bow to grab some scones and other nibbles before heading up to the Sunset Bar for a pre-dinner cocktail. I finally trained the "scone guy" to remove those last so that I could grab a couple.

Thanks to you both- I'm glad to know that the free ice cream is still there (I have never figured out why they keep the gelato on the other ships- the only people I see getting it are those who get a free scoop!)

 Edge is so expensive, it would be a shame to have to pay for ice cream too!

LOL! We are less than 45 days until departure. The link to request "personalized Bag Tags" does not exist anywhere in our on line account... not in "Check In", not in "Luggage Tag 1", not in our reservation, not in "Manage Reservation", nope... nowhere! My thought is that they are not interested in this part of the program as it is likely  expensive (but so is cruising!). 

 

And I have searched this forum, and pursued ALL of the various advise within the threads (unless I've missed something)... but the only one that will likely work is to call Captain's Club directly. My point here (other than to vent, LOL) is that perhaps Celebrity should remove the above noted admonition. Just end the PERSONALIZED luggage tag program. 

We had to ask a friend where to find the "order luggage tag" button and, even then, never got them. We just called the Captain's Club and they mailed them out quickly. I hope they don't end personalized tags- I love getting them in the mail and it is reassuring to tag my own bags before leaving the hotel when heading to port.

I am a little confused about your comment about ice cream- it is usually complimentary in the buffet, while the gelato near Cafe Al Bacio carries an extra charge. Where was your photo taken?

There are no do-it-yourself facilities, but there is a laundry. Often on the longer cruises, there is an "all you can stuff" bag sale- we had one on our European sailing this summer and I think it was $30.

At around 3:30 pm, they set up "afternoon tea" in the buffet. In addition to scones and sweet pastries, they will make small savory pinwheels and other pastries, a quiche, etc. They also have small sandwiches, cheese, cold cuts, and crackers, often accompanied by nuts, fruit, and cheese jams. You could make quite a nice appetizer plate from this. 

Just note that this part of the buffet closes at 5 while they set up for dinner (which opens 6). That hour in between is pretty slim pickings: pizza, ice cream, maybe some fruit and desserts.

I have never heard of a bartender making it on the spot. Usually the have a bottle “marinating on the shelf.”

Some of the drinks are a few dollars more (Zacapa Above the Clouds, Bulleit Infusion, Mystic Kettle One- though I was never charged more for the last one since they don't do the dried ice anymore), but you just pay the difference and sometimes we weren't charged. 

The Bulleit Infusion changes with each bartender, since the mix of fruit always seems to change a bit, as does how long the infusion has been "developing." 

If the excursions are on sale, book them! You can always change your mind and cancel. No disadvantage there!

Actually, Paul, last year we had 3 because we were on a B2B so I'm not sure if we will have 2 or 3.

Looks like DH's tux shirt might have to go to the cleaner's if you are correct though, because he is only packing for 2!

I didn't learn the British term DJ until my first Christmas cruise- I still think Disc Jockey when I see it!
