Thanks for all the great info! I was hoping we could walk the wall earlier so that it would not be so hot. Is it likely to be very hot in the middle of May, if we start our walk when the wall opens? I don't do very well in the heat so I'm trying to figure out how bad it will be. I really appreciate your help!

We will be in port coming from Celebrity Equinox mid-May. Our ship is supposed to arrive at 7AM. What is the earliest that we could walk the wall? What time does the wall open and close? Thanks so much for your help!

I want to book the Underground Colosseum Tour on Sunday, May 11th. We will be coming from a cruise and therefore need to travel from Civitavecchia to Rome to get to the tour. We are planning to take the train. Our ship is scheduled to arrive in port at 7AM. My question is, would we have a problem making it to the Colosseum for the 9:40 AM tour? We would really like to take the tour at this time rather than later, but I would like to know if those of you in the know think the trains are likely to be full or if since we will not be with a ship's excursion, we might not make it off the ship in time to catch a train that will get us to the Colosseum on time. Also, how often do the trains leave Civitavecchia? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
