Which ship? Which port? Which hotel?
We don't have a hotel yet. We plan to fly into FLL. We will probably have a hotel near the airport. We sail out of Port Everglades.

Family cruise. Any shuttle service recommendations form hotel to port. We would like to go in a maximum of two vans/busses.

I would like to point out that the 15 drink limit is for 15 drinks. Not 15 alcoholic drink. This limit includes bottled waters (plain and sparkling), Speciality coffees, sodas and non alcoholic drinks. Many get hung on not being able to drink 15 alcoholic beverages and refuse to even consider the package and then pay by the beverage. Plus you don't have to sort and save a bunch of receipts and argue with the Front desk when you find a bogus charge for drinks you did not make.

I have thought about HA, but I think that we will stick with Celebrity. At our age, we don’t need to count.

After you log into your account you will see a link upper right that says "Welcome John" click on that and you will see a link for Reservations. Select the reservation you want to check in for and click on Manage Reservation. If it is not too soon you should see the check in link. If your sailing is too far away you will see the words "On line check in" "XX days until your online check in".
Mine are too far away for me to be able to check in.
Thanks. Our cruise is in January. Do they have a link to Mis-Manage Your Reservations?

For a booked cruise, how do you enter your information like passport number. I can’ find where to do this since the website is so different.

What do you lose I your hold out until final payment?

Did not notice if Porches open
Did not watch TV
No Qtips or cotton balls
Did not use the internet onboard :D
We can watch TV at home including any movies. If we need Q-tips they are easily available. I am glad that we do not waste cruise time to be on the Internet. Thank you so much for your update.

Thanks for taking the time to write a review. I am glad that you enjoyed your cruise.

If you are still in bed at 7:00 AM, do they carry you off the ship?
-
Everyone working on the ships does so for the money, so "All contributions gratefully received!"

How much do you tip the captain?

Some have said that the bed by the balcony makes it a little tight to get through. Let us know if that is a problem.

Does anyone know if this cabin has bed by balcony or bath? I checked the cabin spreadsheet and it's not there. It's a sunset veranda and all of the aft cabins on this deck have the square except for this one. Thanks for your help!
What do you prefer and why?

Didn't the famous sailor Christopher Columbus issue the warning, "Watch out for the Edge?"

By going into their 'My Cruises' and clicking on order history. It should also be showing in their calendar for each day in the designated time slot ;).
Thanks, and happy sailing.

I just made Select Dining Reservations for my wife and I and the two couples that are joining us on the cruise for all nine nights. Where would those other couples find confirmation of reservations?

What is the fee that you will pay me?

On one sailing out of Tampa, the ship was late. Many people walked across the street to the aquarium.

Actually, it is not a slow time for us. Our peak starts about mid to late October. I'm already spotting more and more Bentleys and Rolls Royces on Las Olas.
I met with the Chamber the other day and Fort Lauderdale hotels are running an 82% year round occupancy rate which means we no longer have a down time.
Fort Lauderdale has a higher occupancy than any other location in Florida only behind Key West.
Rates are only going to go up.
Thanks. In the future we be looking at the other Florida departure ports.

I believe that the Last Minute Travel Club has Springhll Suites at $235 for February if that helps.

From the seasoned cruisers that I know, they feel the Celebrity is a step down from Azamara.
Celebrity is definitely a step down in cost.

Excellent question. First of all, there are never 50 motorcycles. The large S class have room for the most bikes, max 25. As to the gasoline, we are NEVER permitted to have more than 1/4 tank of fuel when we load onto ship. Many of us were running on fumes each day when we returned as we were only fueled up each morning at a local gas station with just enough fuel for the day. Then, before boarding, each tank is opened and injected with some type of pressurized gas to dissipate fumes (sorry, don't remember what it was).
Each bike is held in the hull by wheel chocks and if rougher seas are expected, we use tie-downs in addition to the chocks. I will try to find a pic of them in the hold...pretty amazing we fit 25 bikes in like we did.
Can't answer your last question, fortunately it has never happened. The safety precautions and security surrounding our arrival and departure were pretty strict.
Thanks for your answers. I too am often running on fumes with the Celebrity Go Big package.

My question would be that if you have 50 motorcycles onboard each with a filled gasoline tank, how does the ship secure them and what special arrangements does the ship make in the event of a fire?
