I noticed that you mention that you are going with some that have mobility problems. I don't know if you are aware, but there are quite a few stairs to get down the various levels on the property to get to the beach. Even if you are going to sit by the pool there are stairs to navigate.

They can do stairs and walking fine, but I thought they might get warn out walking from bus to resort. A few folks mentioned there was a hill. Trying to maximize fun at resort vs. getting warn out traveling there. Thoughts?

Does anyone happen to know how many people can fit in a cab? Are they mini vans? We are a party of 10 so I guess we may need 2 cabs.

Also do the cabs take credit cards or just cash. Do you pay in US dollars on the island?

We are traveling in a group of 10 to coco reef for day pass visit from the dockyard. Multi-generational group with the oldest in their 70s and less mobile. Would it be better for them if we take a cab from dock yard? I'm not a big fan of sitting on a bus for an hour. Would ferry to bus be better?

Wondering if cost for taxi divided amongst us would be less than ferry +bus.

What are the best shoes for kids on board the ship? Planning on them bringing sneakers, crocks, flip flops and black shoes for formal nights. Does that sound ok? Are crocs ok on ship?

When you see a question asked.....ESPECIALLY on a "First Time Cruisers" forum could you just cut them a little slack?

 

Remember we are all first time cruisers at one time!!!

I wish people on the boards wouldn't be so negative and snarky. This is supposed to be a friendly forum where first time cruisers like me can ask whatever we want.

I did try searching first but it didn't bring up good results. The search tool on this forum doesn't work very well.

I was just at Michael's craft store and saw all sorts of cool lanyards for $5. I think I'll pick some out for our cruise. Next time they have a big sale. With twin 12 yr old boys, I'll need them to wear their cards so they don't get lost.

I always wear a lanyard and being on a cruise is the only time I just don't care about having my wallet.

I see a lot of mentions about waterproof pouches for the lanyards. Can the sea pass /card you have for the ship not get wet?

We are on our first cruise on Celebrity in June.

Our cruise was booked a few months before the 1-2-3 package came back. Can you ask your TA to add it? Does every cruise qualify for it?
