I love Brandon Beach, the problem is getting a taxi to take you there. The taxi drivers usually say that there is a problem there, such as no chairs available or no facilities anymore, because they want to take you further to get a bigger fare.

Thank you all, for taking the trouble to reply. I am pleased that I was not the only one to notice the hard water. My skin is beginning to settle down, but the experience has made me reluctant to book another Riviera cruise, which is a shame.

I have just completed a Riviera cruise which I enjoyed, apart from the fact that I have eczema on my hands, which is sensitive to hard water. Usually on cruises the water is very soft and I do not have a problem, but on this ship the water was so hard that my hands finished very raw with cracks, that on using the hand sanitiser, made me want to scream with the pain. Does anyone know why?

We have found that the best thing to do is to rent a car in Fort Lauderdale, and as well as being somewhere to store the luggage for the day, you can make use of the car, to shop or visit Everglades etc. Then it can be returned to Miami Airport at no extra charge, at the time you need.

I used to get luggage tags, but now I am led to believe that we do not get them in the UK, they are only for people in USA or Canada.
