  1. OK so far I have looked at Camilla and Ruby Slippers and have to say that the Ruby Slipper has my curiosity peaked. I will have to budget for it but I am voting for that one. Will let the family review the other choices but I think they will like that one too.

    Thanks for the suggestions!

Breakfast at the Ruby Slipper was delightful. We really enjoyed the experience. The biggest deterent is the long line down the block to get in. It's a very popular place! I used my time wisely in line and made several friends. We swapped funny stories and laughed a lot. Then the time flew by much faster. ;)
  2. What is moderate to you? This is a very subjective topic. Will you have a car? Will you be in downtown/warehouse district/FQ/Metairie/Airport, etc? Do you want breakfast cocktails? Do you need have any restrictions?
We're looking for breakfast too. Two Adults, moderate price ($5-$20 a piece) and we're staying at the Renaissance New Orleans Arts Hotel in the Warehouse District. Any ideas?
  3. We are arriving by train into New Orleans. Our hotel is on Canal Street. What is the best way and the cost to get from the station to the hotel?

Should we take a streetcar or taxi...or any other ideas? Two adults traveling.

    Thanks.

We are also arriving by Amtrak to sail on the Serenade, but our cruise is February 21st, 2015. I believe that a taxi might be your only form of transportation. The street car line doesn't appear to be near the train station. I don't know the cost, but a taxi is our plan. I've been trying to figure out if taxis will be available at the train station or if we'll have to call for one. Looking at a map, Canal Street appears to be about 12 blocks north of Union Station, so guessing it's a 10 minute ride. Also here's a link to get a free copy of the New Orleans Visitor's Guide 2015. http://www.neworleanscvb.com/visit/request-vg/
