Really appreciate your posting these!

We are sailing on our first MSC/YC experience in Feb and gather useful pre-cruise info from these boards. I truly appreciate the thread and the honest responses. We are frequent RCCL cruisers but have never had the "Butler" experience, Im not sure I'll be able to return to the masses 😉 Again, thank you as always for the information.

Many thanks for the review, our first MSC/YC experience awaits us in Feb 2020! We have been RCCL cruisers up to this point and are excited to switch things up a bit. Again, thanks for the detailed info it's greatly appreciated😀

It's $250 total for a 2 person dune buggy. A $50 deposit, the balance is due day of your tour.
-
I did it as well. Were you on the morning or afternoon tour?
We were on the morning tour
-
We did the Mad Max Dune buggys today! They picked us up at the cruise terminal as scheduled & dropped us back off. We safely toured the island both on road & off. Our guides Torrance & Obie were both welcoming & informative. I would not hesitate to recommend them ! I’d be glad to answer any questions .

Nacho Com & Mr Sanchos are both booked for the day we are in port, I waited until the last minute ............ Now Im looking for a similar beach, All inclusive type place. We are on RCI Oasis and it's just the 2 of us. Does anyone have any first hand suggestions? Thanks in advance for your input!

Be prepared to have to buy a champagne/table package in many of the venues to get a seat on NYE. We are not champagne drinkers so we didn't feel the need and were shocked how many of their "limited availability" tables were sold in lounges. We have never had to pay extra on any of the other cruise lines on NYE to get a seat in venues. They already substantially increase the cruise price at NYE so they are just gouging customers so be prepared. We love cruising for NYE, but we just do it on other cruise lines now.
I've heard this before, what ship were you on? BOS is a small ship so we did not encounter this. I would like to know which ship for future NYE cruises though.
-
We just did the BOS for a 5 nighter, boarding NYE and cruising NYD. NYE was indeed our formal night. It was one of our favorite cruises thus far, enjoy!

We just sailed with Gina & her crew on Calabaza 2/18/17. Only 12 people to a 46 ft Catamaran . It was amazing from start to finish. We took 3 Catamaran sailings on our most recent cruise and Calabaza was the best. Go hungry, enjoy the small personal touches that can only be found on a sailing with this few of people. Enjoy & report back!

What is the regular price of the Deluxe beverage package without any discounts onboard the ship?
Thanks!
We are 2 weeks from our 11 day cruise on SOS. On my cruise planner it states the deluxe beverage package is $44 per day and it no longer has the 20% off banner in the corner. On the NYE cruise we recently took on the BOS, I purchased the deluxe package for $41 per day plus gratuity. It really does vary per ship :(
Hope this helps.

We were on the NYE sailing and the top shelf drinks were $12 , Beers 6.50 Hope this helps!
-
We are on the NYE sailing on the Brilliance and ordered the drink package for both of us. It was 271.40 ea for our 5 day cruise. That breaks down to (4.5) $12 drinks per day. On our previous cruises most of our cocktails and wines were in the $12-$14 range, so a couple of pool drinks and a couple of cocktails later and were even. Like the other posters have mentioned you get waters and coffees as well. We drink ALOT of water :)
Cheers and Happy Sailing!

Sobro or Blondie from Arizona, can either of you share the theme nights from the compasses please.
-
So what was the big emergency?
Everyone wants to know.
But everyone is afraid to ask.....
I think it will be ok to share now....... The young couple on board left their baby with Grandma & Grandpa for safe keeping, the baby contracted RSV and is in the hospital. Everyone realizes they can't do anything while on the ship , the Grandparents just needed to let them know what was going on. They connected via WiFi while in port this morning. The Grandparents are feeling better but I'm sure the kids(young couple) are going out of their mind with worry. It's their first baby, first trip away & first cruise.
I offered to help with my CC connections and you guys came through with suggestions as well as "I'll leave a note on their door" . I am extremely grateful for your quick responses! Thank you & Merry Christmas!
-
I can put a note on their stateroom door if you tell me what stateroom and what you want on the note.
Thank you so much for that offer! They just got in touch with their family :). Everyone is breathing a little easier now. Thanks again!

Hi,
Ok, I found your thread.
I was on the cruise that you were asking about the compasses.
Trainman was doing a live report and he posted all the compasses.
Here is the link:
http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=2428273&highlight=serenade
When you click on the link you should go to page 7 and about post 136 you will find the start of his posted compasses. He got the rest of them a page or two later.
BTW. We enjoyed the cruise and had a good time. It was a 10 day cruise so a little different than yours will be.
We are looking forward to it & thank you for the link!

I had similar trouble reaching family. The supplied phone number and email didn't work. Try their Twitter or Facebook accounts - they reply vey quickly to those

No luck yet. They didn't buy the ships internet package. The Brilliance is in Cozumel today, we're hoping they take advantage of free WiFi at many locations to check in.

Hi,
It seems that the OP is not on line so you are not getting an answer to your request.
I do know where you can get/view all the compasses from this cruise but I am not sure if it is 'ok' to provide the link on this thread, since it belongs to someone else.
Could you just start a new thread with the request for the compasses and I will provide you the information there.
Done !

Would anyone have the current cruise compasses for the (11) day S. Carib on the Serenade of the Seas? Thanks!
-
We are sailing on the SOS our first 11 day in Feb. Do you have any cruise compasses to share?
-
THANK YOU, thank you for the info, I'll share the number with their family!

Hey CC friends , I need to reach some passengers who are on the Brilliance right now. Is anyone doing a live blog on board that I may have missed? They are not responding to email, so no internet package. They are deck 4. It's important that we reach them. Thanks for your help!
-
Thanks for taking us along, we are on this ship 8/1-8/7. We have never cruised in this direction nor sailed on Holland. We typically sail the Caribbean so that's pretty easy to pack for, this Alaska trip has me a little stumped.
Again, thanks for taking us along :):):)
