Have been reading conflicting info regarding supply of face masks.  I thought at one point pax were asked to wear the SS supplied masks only….but when we asked out TA to confirm with SS, she said they are not providing them.  any one else have definitive info on this?  
we have no problem using our own, but want to I sure we bring enough supply.

We certainly anticipated itinerary changes…this one especially.  We are just so happy the cruise is still on…and know we will have a wonderful experience.  I cannot begin to imagine the logistical nightmare this has been for SS.  

Sigh.   When you say numbers of couples, does anyone know how many  grand cruise of us?  I assume not a lot

How we feel Emtbsam….do believe there will be some itinerary adjustments…maybe major, but we trust their judgement.  

Sorry ME….going to be a bumpy ride port wise I think.

Our TA is staying on top of things.  Venice is certainly a bit dicey…we will be coming from another port obviously, but that is fine.

Hi everyone,  have been following all your comments especially recent experiences with the maiden med voyages in Greece. .  Our grand cruise on the Shadow next month appears to be a go,  but frankly not 100% sure.  Am fairly confident that if it goes, there will be itinerary adjustments which we are fine with and will be flexible.

Anyone one else on this or some of the legs?  And have you any further updates? it’s to depart Venice and conclude in Lisbon. 
hope to see some of you on this…we so miss SS cruising!

Just got email from SS re cancellation.  We were on both legs.   Full refund and 25% discount for next new booking.  I thought quite generous.  I am sad we will be unable to see the Spirit and experience what was a fantastic itinerary.  But I mostly feel
bad for SS team...I am sure this is creating havoc on every level.

Thanks for the responses.  I think the sound advise that SS will do the right thing is right.  We are actually on both legs as a combined tour.  Will give it a couple more weeks to see what evolves.  This really was a special itinerary....but a number of ports I suspect would have to be altered.  Shall see.  I will update with any news we get.

Thank you.  I am hoping they do something a little more pro active in advance as to what ports will change.  Or offer a swap to another cruise.  Shall see.  It is sold out also.

We are booked on March 15 Silver Spirit with stops in a number of ports throughout the Middle East.  Had our TA call SS this morning and they said no change As yet...would likely skip ports if issue.  Seems odd to me that they would venture into the area just now.   Perhaps I am just a bit paranoid....Has anyone had experience similar to this and how SS handled?

Hi .. after searching through older threads for recommended luggage shipping services, it appears that Luggage Forward has 'reasonable' rates..

for Florida to Barcelona...75lbs...in the $450 range. Silversea was closer to $800. Has anyone used Luggage Forward recently? Any other recommendations or cautions?

Also, it was mentioned in old thread to perhaps ship to hotel vs port. Any thoughts regarding that point?

My husband and I are scheduled to sail the Jan Grand Cruise Southern Crossing which is about 10 weeks...the longest for us ever. I am getting myself organized on spending that much time on the ship. However, nail services...does the spa offer various nail techniques...ie gel, acrylics, shellac,etc. Any insight would be appreciated!
